Remove stress? No. Add variety to your stress? Yes.

Would you settle for a plane ticket to Tijuana, Nevada, Amsterdam, Ontario, or Bangkok?

I drive through Tijuana all the time to get to my place in Baja. Trust me, that traffic does not relieve your stress
I have not tried stopping by any of the many entertainment establishments, but I suppose that might work.

IMO Fitness / sporting gear would be best for the developers who are sitting hours in front of computer. So some exercise would be good for body as well as for mind.

I wouldn't want any fitness gifts if they were wrist bands or running shorts or things of that sort. Now, if somebody wants to get me an elliptical, then I'd appreciate it.

I feel these two are great gifts.Books to gain knowledge, computers to implement programs and off-course gaming stuff to think logically.

Totally agree. Books are especially great and affordable. And not only textbooks. My friend gave me Einstein's biography. Great casual read. For me, good PC games are also great gift.
