AFAIR, he is an old chap who keeps posting links to a paid product inspite of repeated warnings.
I would call him as a spammer who stayed and survived here for long time.

Personally I don't think it is spam as it offered as a potential solution to the question.

I'd say definitely not spam. There doesn't seem to be any link between this user and the vendor, and they have been active on the boards for a long time.

Oh dear. This seems to be overzealous.
If the solution to a problem is genuinely available through third party software, we shouldn't really be punishing the poster for it.

They had - the account is gone. Methinks people have been a little overzealous here, and we should bring the account back.

I'm not so sure now - I've just done a search on this user, just looking for his answers, and they all seem to link back to Crypto.... products.

Ah.
And I see Sean has had a good look.
I couldn't check his other messages as his account was gone.

I've removed a number of the users posts. 10 posts in a single day linking to his product (regardless of how relevant the topic might be) is a no-no.
I vaguely recall speaking to this individual before about these postings, and I will do so again before I reconsider activating the account.
Thanks,

I have been learning javascript and having a doubt I post my question.
One of the member ThePhantomUpvoter posts just the comments and his comments are of 0 help..My friends have too been posting questions and this member finds it fun to comment saying,"And you think posting the same thing over and over is going to get a better answer? Did either of you debug this? Did they teach about bench checking in any of your classes? Did you bother trying to figure out what the actual output is?"... Is this the way one would react to newbies..

Since she has posted only one answer I'd say that it is this one here[^]
I dare to say - I think ThePhantomUpvoter was a bit rude, especially because they are new members...
But in the end, everyone freaked a bit out but no one got harmed.

Every one has the right to report an abusive behavior of a member. As I can see, the question was answered by codegirl24, which is the one who posted it, so maybe we can see this issue as resolved?

That is exactly what I think.
I reported the question as repost, but not her account. Since Phantom can do the same and she has found the solution in the reposted question - Case closed.

Hi,
can you please provide links? You can use the "Update Post" button.
It is known that there are some members in the Q&A section who are kinda rude when they post an answer or a comment for a question - specially when it is the askers' first question and he/she does not know a lot of how we like questions asked in here.
I don't know about your issue since I can't see the example. But 99% of us highly appreciate new members who are interested in our community and want to gain a benefit.
Welcome to the CodeProject!
Edit: found the link.

How about throttling the number of top-level messages a brand new user can post to 3, per 15 minute window??
The should cut down on the amount of live streaming spam.
