Hey Friends Can someone suggest how we can customize the Grippers displayed when using CRectTracker class.
I wish to use the Style ,any suggestion for using the style CRectTracker::resizeOutside,how about using multiple selection and multiple control tracking .
|
|
|
|
|
Your best bet is to derive a class from CRectTracker and override the "Draw" function. Copy and paste the existing CRectTracker::Draw code and then modify as desired.
If you want multiple selection then search CP - I'm sure there have been articles that cover this.

Dear Robert Edward Caldecott
I tried the Copy And Paste But.............
In the debug mode the execution goes in OnDraw but the Output is the same old one even if I simply put a return statement ie no code for My CRectTracker inherited Draw Function. Can U Pl give it a one more try .
|
|
|
|
|
Then try overriding DrawTrackerRect instead.

Yes You Were Right at the First Place.
Actually I Suppose Draw is Not a Virtual Function And I Was Creating an object of CMyRectTracker but using a Pointer of CRectTracker,I figured it out ,tried it again and Yes It is Working I am able to draw RED Coloured Grippers which I suppose I can change according to my need,
Thanks,Thanks ,Thanks.................................................

you could also use:
char *temp = "0x3e40\0";
int iNum = atoi( temp )

Although atoi only converts base 10 numbers - strtol (temp, NULL, 16) would be correct for hex!

Thank you for pointing that out. I completely forgot about the fact that atoi works only with base 10 numbers. I am sorry for posting a message without testing the code first.

Dear All,
How can we restore all files from recycle bin. Is there any API provided for "Restore All" ?
I went through the article provided in CodeProject/shell/Registry. I ran the program but it is not working for Restore all ,gives error "Cannot read from source file or disk".
Thanks.

I have created a dll with several class functions. i am trying to call these class functions within a main program. in trying to call these class functions i am utilizing a long list of reference variables. my intent was to have the class function within the dll modify the references so that i can use them in the main program. Is this possible or am i in left field?

OK... I'll bite how do you do this?

Sorry, I didn't mean to be cryptic. It's no different than using reference parameters in a method for a class that's local to your app. I hope I didn't misunderstand your original question.

hello
i want to do an autorun for one CD , how i can do it?
|
|
|
|
|
Autoruns are controlled by the AUTORUN.INF file in the root of the CD. Search the web for references to that file (or more specifically, MSDN).

When I set the compiler to use dinamically linked MFC (DLLs), I've got no problem.
When I set MFC as statically linked library, I've got the following error:
--------------------Configuration: VHDrCoST05 - Win32 Debug--------------------
Compiling resources...
d:\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\MFC\INCLUDE/afxres.rc (120): error RC2151 : cannot reuse string constants, 61446(0xF006) - "%s - Slice #%d (%s) " already defined. Cannot add 61446(0xF006) - "an unnamed file".
Error executing rc.exe.
I need some urgent help, please!
Thanks

It sounds like you are using a resource id that MFC also uses. Resources in a DLL can have the same id's and not cause problems because they resources are accessed independantly to the .exe You will either need to change your .exe resource id's or better still use the MFC DLL's. BTW MFC documents the ranges of id's you should be using so you don't get these clashes.

From the help of Robert, david and Jamie I was able to generate a random number.
I was only able to generate an int.
I need to generate a double.
the rand() function returns an int.
Does anyone know of a function or a way to generate random doubles or longs?
Here is the link to my earlier question if you were interested.
