I've called
mycontext.dispose.
But after I ca have this code :
Mycontext=New MyEntities
Mycontext.savechanges
and all the changes that I've made before disposing , are saved !!!!!
Why ???
|
|
|
|
|
I have no idea since I can't see your code. You're doing something wrong and actually saving the changes.
Why the hell you're using the last two lines of code after disposing the context is beyond me.
|
|
|
|
|
Just for testing.
So I dispose the context as you've said , and after I try to create a new context , and without making any change , I call Savechanges. And the old changes before disposing are saved.

The code is doing something other than what you describe. I wrote up a test app to be sure and I don't see the results you're saying you're getting.
The changes I make don't get written to the database and are not persisted in the DbContext change tracker.
Without seeing the code, it's impossible to tell you what's going on.

Font Stretch and condensed (i.e. Font Scaling) like MSword in vb6 label and textbox
Please Help..

VB6 was retired many, many years ago; it was replaced with VB.NET.
It is very unlikely you will get a response on how to accomplish your task in VB6; possibly, someone may answer if it is VB.NET related.
Having said that, if you would like some help with an issue, please provide what you've already done. No one will write the code for you, but they may provide help if you show what you've done and explain what it is you're trying to do.

Did you read what I wrote?
Have you provided a code sample?
No one will write the code for you; show what you've done and they may help.

I have a form which have textbox and dtpicker for inputting data which I store those data in msaccess database. When I export those data to ms excel from another form the date data becomes meaningless or its not exporting as the date enter in the form. Is there anyway to rectify this problem or should I use a text box for inputing date on my form instead of datepicker.
Would be grateful if anyway suggest a way to solve this problem.
Thank you.

I have a vb form where i have number of textbox and dtpicker field, the data input are store in ms access file. When I extract those data from a vb form to ms excel those textbox data comes fine, but the date data which I enter using dtpicker box comes out as numeric not as date enter. I need to transfer those data enter using ms excel file but the date data doesnot come out as I want, thats my problem.
Hope you understand.

Well, that is basically what you said in your original question, and we still have no idea what you are doing with these values.

Make sure you are storing your date data in Access in the correct format - date or datetime.
After you export to excel check the format of the date field, it may be set to general or numeric therefore it will be meaningless.
NEVER use text format to store date data!
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity

Trying to connect to a web API using a simple HttpWebRequest but failing to connect with error: “Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel”
When I try using the Postman app I can connect – but only after disabling the “SSL certificate verification” option in Settings.
SO am assuming something similar is the issue with the code, and am wondering if there is a way to do the same there?

As per this[^] answer found on Stackoverflow.
A comment does warn about the security implications of this, but that's the client's concern - I've informed them....

Hello coders ^^
+++++ ----- +++++
I work on my 1st project and after the project is done, i made a setup file to be able to install it on different PC.
My problems are:
****************
1- I need to specify the paths for the (.jpg & .wav) files that were used in creating the project to be compatible with the setup file location (which is different from PC to another)
2- I use arabic letters in creating the project, so I can't proceed to install step and I get 3 errors:
A- "Error: -7184: the filename column of the file table includes characters that aren't available on code page 1252 "
B- "Error: -7184: the value column of the MsiAssemblyName table includes characters that aren't available on code page 1252 "
C- "Error: -7185: the English (united States) translation for string identifier IDS_SHORTCUT_DISPLAY_NAME1 includes characters that aren't available on code page 1252 "
Can anyone help about that issue ?

In general you should avoid using non-ASCII characters for file names and resources. If you still want to use such, you should store them as Unicode strings and ensure that the setup supports Unicode.
For better help you should tell us which kind of setup tool you are using.

I use install shield 2015
|
|
|
|
|
I'm not using InstallShield but it should support Unicode. A quick web research shows that it is controlled by the "Setup Launcher Type" option which can be ANSI or Unicode.
