You specify an anchor in the target location ()

Does anyone know of an example to query members of groups with ADSI using C#?
I have done this with VB/COM, but never with .NET.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks In Advance.

Let's say you are doing a query, and it returns a zillion rows. I would like to be able to process rows ad-infinitum, until I say "Stop."
With Web Services, everything is wrapped inside a SOAP envelope. That is, it is a single chunk of information. I have to pass the whole SOAP document before any of it can be translated on the client. Right? I read something about buffered and non-buffered Web Service methods, but don't you have to have the whole XML SOAP document before you can begin processing it?
What I would like to do is (A) send a request to run a query, and (B) get back maybe 50 rows at a time, each in a self contained SOAP document. The server would keep pushing out rows until I dropped the connection.
Is this sort of thing even possible with Web Services? I know you can do this with the Web Services SP2 Technology Preview using SOAP messaging over TCP. In that case, it is pretty trivial. You just pump the data out in packets over the TCP link and translate on the client. But unless I am mistaken, using SOAP over TCP is not really a bonafide Web Service.
I'd really like to know if anyone knows how to do this sort of thing with a Web Service.
Or is this like trying to raise server events from HTTP: "You can't get there from here."
Thanks.

You do:
window.open("YOUR_URL.HTM","_blank","width=300,height=300");
you can replace the 300 value with whatever you want.

You can try this to always open the window in full screen.
window.open('index.html','','top=0,left=0,height=' + screen.availHeight + ',width=' + screen.availWidth);

I'm new to all this web stuff, so please be gentle with me
A while back, well 3 years or so, actually, I foolishly said I'd sort my Dad out with a very simple web page for his club (hey, I'm a programmer, it can't be that difficult, right ?) Anyway, I did the biz with registering his domain names (2), they are on a parking/redirection site atm (freeparking), pointing to my own isp's web space (which sucks big time in terms of access, but there you go).
I'm now looking to make it a bit more "official", and figured I'd move it to a "proper" host, but I'm a bit confused about what I really need. Not a lot, I wouldn't think...but I really need to host 4 domains now (I registered 2 for personal use to have a play with). Am I best leaving them parked at freeparking and just changing the DNS settings to point to the new host when I get it (I would guess so from what I've read elsewhere, but, hey, I trust the people on CP!) Also, do I need to have 4 invidual accounts, one for each domain, or is there a way of combining them to save money?
Can anyone recommend any uk based hosts? I'd like a uk one as I'd ideally like to ring up the support/accounts people (for obvious reasons!). Pop mail support would be nice too, and minimal web space/bandwidth. All other whistles and bells are something I have absolutely no idea about whatsoever, and don't know if they are (or could be) useful so I've been a bit boggled by the front end ads of some hosting companies.
Ta,
Debbie

Ok, It sounds inane and it is... but I work for a company that uses predominantly Netscape, and someone has developed an application that will run only in IE. The quesion: is there any known method for launching IE from a link in Netsape. Serious replies only please -- I've already heard or told most of the netscape jokes on the planet.

either link to a file type already associated with IE and not NS, or create a new file extension type and associate it with IE and in your custom headers, return the correct mime type headers (ex: application/msword)
onwards and upwards...

Hello,
I am trying to develop a program based on c# and aspx systems.
I am required to write a code which must be in java script.
The code would be able to make a calculation.
The calculation is a bit complex.
I am required to do that:
There is a value of a result of an expeirence and there is a upper and lower limit of the result of the expeirence.
e.g
Upper limit : 2.4
Lower limit : 1.2
The value of result of the expeirence is 1.8
The result of the experience value could be out of limits.
(actually the limits are defined for the standart situations)
I have a record which is like shown below
UpperLimit : 2.4
LowerLimit : 1.2
Value : 1.8
-------
And I am now changing the upper and lower limits to ...
UpperLimit : 4.8
LowerLimit : 2.4
Value : ?
How can I calculate the final value?
I have already tried:
Final = Value * (UpperLimit(2) - LowerLimit(2))/(UpperLimit(1) - LowerLimit(1))
It is not just relaited with the range. It is also releated with the position of the limits.
e.g.
|------|----------|-----------|------
0______LL_________X___________UL
_______<-------difference----->
_______<---------range-------->
0 ,zero
LL, Lower Limit
X , Value
UL, Upper Limit
Both range and the position are being changed .
Thank you for your time
Regards,
Emre YAZICI

Without some information about the actual relationships among the limits and the value, there is no way to begin advising you about this. At a first glance, the original Value is the midpoint between the limits in your first example. But there is no way to justify an assumption that any other set of limits will produce a new value that is again the midpoint, unless that is by design and not stated in your post.
In the event that the midpoint is, in fact, the value you want, the formula for that is
Value = (UpperLimit + LowerLimit)/2
for all pairs of limits.

what does everyone has against pages with frames in?
the way i see it, frames prevent sections of pages - like a menu - from being loaded more than once since it appears on all the pages.
or is this invalid?
|
|
|
|
|
It is quite valid, especially if the menu items are dynamic due to database queries for rights, content, etc. The big issue that people have with frames is the scrolling. So, if you use frames, make sure that they are as small as possible, so that the main content frame is maximized, helping reduce the amount of scrolling required.

In addition, most search egine robots stop at FRAMESET pages and do not sunbscribe the other pages...
The robots seem to follow A tag links only... not all of them but a few work this way...

Ever tried using ? Its a floating frame, which you can put in your existing html page, pretty cool and you can tweak around with it a lot.
