There is are border styles you could use to independantly set each edge - try that.

I'm using Persit Mail to send Email.
Here is my code:
--------------------------------------
<%
strRecipients="youare@somedomain.com"
strRecipientsName="You are"
-------------
Set x1 = Server.CreateObject("Persits.MailSender")
x1.FromName = "My Name"
x1.From = "iam@mydomain.com"
x1.Host = "mail.mydomain.com"
x1.AddAddress strRecipients, strRecipientsName
x1.Subject = "Hello"
x1.Body = "Can you help me"
x1.IsHTML = True
x1.Send
Set x1 = Nothing
%>
-----------------------------------
The problem is:
Is I send email to Yahoo Email Address (ie: newcinc@yahoo.com) I have this Error Message:
-----------------------
Persits.MailSender.4 error '800a0006'
550 not local host yahoo.com, not a gateway
/mail.asp, line 25
-----------------------
But when I send email to another, ie: newcinc@hcm.vnn.vn (not Yahoo domain), The email was sent succesful.
Please tell me the reason why?
Best Regards,

Hi everyone,
I need to finish this project and I need to do it ASAP, so any suggestions are grately appreciated.
I need to create a page using ASP, that gives the user the option of creating tables with different rows and columns. The user is asked to enter the number of ( and %) rows and columns and the page creates them. Once that is done, the user should be able to choose a table and cut it into more rows or tables. User should also be able to insert pictures into any table chosen by user.
Any ideas how this should be programmed.

What I wonder is, what exactly does the user choose here? The entire table, or just some cells from the table? And do you propose to allow the user to create seperate multiple tables or just one single table made up of various inner tables?

Hi, I'm trying put three datagrids in a page and one commit button that should make changes to the database.
Thank you

The problem is everytime i click on edit button in a datagrid, it does a postback resulting the page to re-render. I don't know how to avoid postback when u enter edit mode, and do the editing in local, and once you make changes, do the commit. for example I should be able to edit multiple rows without doing a postback, then I want to click a button that should do the postback to make changes. Any idea how to do this?

The mechanism for editing a datagrid relies on the postback event. To get around this you either need to use something else, or provide functionality to handle the edit button click on the client side including replacing controls with editable controls, ie. textbox, etc.
Handle the postback and use the datagrid, its easier.

Thank you Mark, I guess I've to custom write the rendering part on my own. Does anyone know if there is a data grid control that could cache data on client side?
Thank you

The existing datagrid has the functionality you are looking for. By binding it to a dataadapter/dataset you can cache all of the updates you want, then when the user clicks the update button just call Update on the DataAdapter.

I believe you are missing the colon after the javascript tag... anyway, you should wrap this into a function and call it like: onwards and upwards...

If you want to open "utama.html" in the same window, as you wrote, then miss out the javascript- you just want a link.
If you actually *do* want it in a pop up, then go with this:-
... href="javascript:window.open('utama.html','','height=760,width=1012,menubar,scrollbar,status,toolbar,location'); return false;" ...
#include <beer.h>

How can I define multiple tags of span, so that I might higlight some text bold and some red for example? can I do it in a linked in style sheet or do I need to define it at that point in the Html code?
|
|
|
|
|
You can can do it either way.
I would suggest to make a css file where you define classes e.g.
In your linked css file:
<br />
.spanBold {font-weight:bold;}<br />
.spanRed {color:red;}<br />
and then in your code:
<br />
<span class=spanBold>bold text here</span><br />
<span class=spanRed>Red text here</span><br />
<span>Normal text here</span><br />
Hope this helps.

I'm using MSSQL Server 2000, the licensing mode is Perseat License mode with 5 Client Access Linceses (5 devices).
As I know, there are maximum 5 concurrent connections to SQL Server depending on that lincesing information.
To test my knowledge, I write the code below in an ASP page:
<br />
Dim gblDBConn1, _<br />
gblDBConn2, _<br />
gblDBConn3, _<br />
gblDBConn4, <br />
gblDBConn5, _<br />
gblDBConn6, _<br />
<br />
Dim sCnn<br />
sCnn = "Provider=SQLOLEDB;Initial Catalog=mydb;Data Source=server;UID=sa; PWD=pwd;"<br />
Set gblDBConn1 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<br />
Set gblDBConn2 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<br />
Set gblDBConn3 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<br />
Set gblDBConn4 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<br />
Set gblDBConn5 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<br />
Set gblDBConn6 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<br />
<br />
gblDBConn1.ConnectionString = sCnn<br />
gblDBConn2.ConnectionString = sCnn<br />
gblDBConn3.ConnectionString = sCnn<br />
gblDBConn4.ConnectionString = sCnn<br />
gblDBConn5.ConnectionString = sCnn<br />
gblDBConn6.ConnectionString = sCnn<br />
<br />
gblDBConn1.Open<br />
gblDBConn2.Open<br />
gblDBConn3.Open<br />
gblDBConn4.Open<br />
gblDBConn5.Open<br />
gblDBConn6.Open<br />
The page works fine although it creates 6 concurrent connections. What happen? I think that the maximum concurrent connections is 5 and the sixth will fail. I'm so confused.
Please explain me! Thank you for any help.

TPN,
It looks like you have 6 concurrent ADO Sessions through ASP, however, you only have one client session (TCP Session) or (Named Pipes). if you have 5 concurrent connections via machines with IP Addresses I'm sure that SQL will throw an error in the log stating that you have maxed out your connections.
