I went to your site, and found a link to the RSHA Forums at the bottom of the home page. Is this the link you are talking about?
When I clicked on the link, I was served a "Not Found" page. Maybe you need to correct the link. You also need to make sure the database tables have been created properly, and that you have the required permissions in the /include/config directory inside the forum heirarchy, and that parent paths are enabled. Also, it seems you are running your site on the the Apache web server. The bttlxe forum software can run only on the IIS Server. For the Apache web server you need to use a different forum software.

Hi.
We have a music practice/learning product in beta test at the moment. It is called Riffster and details can be found here
Since Riffster does pitch and tempo transposition in realtime it is essential that the audio subsystem runs with the lowest possible latencies. As you might expect this varies greatly given various hard/driver combinations. We also run up hard against the limits of DirectSound so have to deal successfully with glitch detection and (hopefully) recovery.
We would love to hear from anyone with a hardware/OS combination we've not tested before - if you test Riffster, find a driver or hardware related problem, and help us resolve it we'll be happy to give you a registered copy. gratis.
If you are interested please email jerry (at) polarity (dot) com with details of your machine, audio hardware and OS. You'll need Win98 or better. 95 and NT are not supported. If we get overwhelmed we reserve the right to decline your offer of help.
Many thanks.
Jerry

I need help testing out my new game. It's an early version (doesn't even have a name yet) but it's completely functional. I'd like some input before I continue adding features.
It's fun to play with friends or family, so try it with them if you can!
Download it from Tanks.zip
Small download, less than 1 Mb.
Please send your comments to: moltivak@surfree.net.il
Or post them right here.
Thanks for the help!

Works on my machine but the biggest complaint I have is when you turn the tank at any angle it gets all blury and ugly. For some reason it sticks out like a sore thumb to me. (And I can see the green tint all arount the yellow tank from the matte)
Cool, I wish it was 1 player though....

That game was great. Why are you giving it the self depricating title 0.1 though? I personally will only test 0.8 and up applications.

Hi!
Today we need tons of passwords. You should everywhere use a different password because if you would use one and it leaks somehow an attacker can see your e-mails, edit homepage, articles, etc by consequence...
But who can remember all those passwords? You don't have to! Use a password manager and remember only one password/passphrase or use a key disk:
http://keepass.sourceforge.net[^]
It's yet an unstable 0.8 version, but it seems to work relatively good already.
If you have a free minute feel free to download and have a look at it Any comments are welcome
Thanks

Very nice application indeed!
Just some quick thoughts:
1) The application mixes system colors with it's own - I am using the "Desert" color scheme on my Windows 2000 and the buttons are brown, but the background of dialog windows is gray - this doesn't look very good Let me know if you need a screenshot.
2) I don't like the shaded buttons (but that's just me ) I think they're interesting but I don't think I like 'em.
3) I've been playing with Password Agent and Any Password some time ago, and what I really liked about Password Agent is that you can view all passwords in all folders at once. I often forget in which folder some of my passwords are, and this helps me to quickly locate them just by scrolling down without the need to use the search feature and type anything with keyboard. I am not sure if it could be implemented in your application, since it doesn't have a root folder (this is how it worked in Password Agent).
4) I usually expect a detailed view to pop up when I double click an entry, so it looked a little strange to me at first, but copying the password into clipboard seems like a good idea! Maybe I would get used to it, as long as there would be a quick way to edit an entry - using the "Enter" key, toolbar button (do you plan to add a toolbar?), or by doing a ctrl-mouse click. Perhaps it would be interesting to copy the password into clipboard upon doing Ctrl-mouse click, and to show entry details upon normal mouse click. (eh, I don't know how to say it correctly I'm not a native english speaker but I hope you understand what I mean)
5) The vertical splitter always makes me want to drag it
6) I would use the usual "Help" instead of "?" for the menu title.
7) The "Hide password behind stars" in the "View" menu (especially the "behind stars" part) doesn't sound too good to me, but again I'm not a native English speaker I guess "asterisks" or "with asterisks" would be more appropriate?
I hope that at least some of my comments will be usefull for you

Hi!
First, sorry for my really late answer! I didn't have much time last 2 weeks...

Done. Version 0.84 uses the system color for dialog background. Unfortunately I forgot to use the system color for the dialog texts (foreground), so some styles (dark styles) may look bad. The next release 0.85 will use the correct system colors for both, foreground and background.

At least you can remove the icons from them Removing the shading at runtime isn't that easy... You would have to unsubclass the controls somehow... If you have an idea how to do this tell me

You can "compile" a big list by opening the search dialog and clicking OK (so without entering a search string). This will show all passwords in one view. Perhaps I will include an option to compile a list automatically by clicking a menu item, we'll see

In version 0.85 the edit dialog will pop up when control-left-clicking on an item.

I will think about it

Oh well, some programs use Help, some use '?'. Internet Explorer and MSDevStudio both use '?' so I've used this

Accepted. Asterisks sounds better

Well, sorry but I spend most of my time developing ASP.NET applications in C# so I have no idea I used to do some Visual C++ development but that was a very very long time ago.

Really? I know that some programs did use it but I don't see it in IE 6.0 (just "Help"). Same applies for my copy of Visual Studio. Perhaps it is the localized version of IE that you are using?

Yep, I am using the German versions for both IE and MSDevStudio.

I am initiating a development effort to formalize unit testing so that it becomes more of an engineering discipline rather than a black art. You can read more about the project here[^]. If, after reading through the documents in the "roadmap" and main page, you are still interested in participating, send me an email describing your skills, what you'd like to work on, and how much time you have available for this undertaking.

On my Windows 98 it doesn't really work.
I start the app and a window pops up telling me that I have 50 launches or 21 days left. After waiting a while, the main window comes up.
But when I move over the main menu, I see shortly something golden and the application disappears completely. No error message, no crash message, it just disappears. I've searched for it using a process monitor, but it has terminated itself.
Cannot tell you more, hope this helps

I have already made a great deal of progress in developing some next-generation home automation software. I am working in C# and have created managed libraries for controlling several devices and for performing other tasks like reading and writing WMA audio headers and ID3 V1 and V2 tags. In addition, I am working on a very nice interface layer to support UPnP device discovery and control. Lastly, I plan to allow all of this to be controlled using a touch screen or mouse in a completely 3D environment. This will be realized using a Managed Direct 3D user interface layer that is modeled after the System.Windows.Forms namespace.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, I could really use some help. I know how all of this is going to work, and I have portions of every part of the solution complete. I would like to get someone else involved to help with the project and to help keep me focused.
I personally live in Houston, so if you're close it would be even more helpful.
Also, if you know of any other sites that you think I should post this to, can you let me know that also?
Thanks all.
