Sorry for my poor English, I can't describe it detailed.
I think I've solve this problem. I remove the WS_OVERLAPPED style of my CMDIChildWnd derived class. It seems I can use other method to switch childframes just as ctrl+tab does.
Thank you for your patience!

The framework can load some resources for the childframe automatically, such as menu, icon, accelerator and so on. Is there any mechanism to automatically switch toolbar in the framework? If there's none, how can we implement it?

Hello!
Go ahead and check this website out: http://www.relisoft.com/win32/. It has a tutorial on writing win32 base code in c++ framework. Hope this can at least get you started on your project. Oh, and about wanting to be able to draw certain shapes look at this website: http://www.gametutorials.com/Tutorials/Win32/Win32_Pg1.htm. Download the example code under "Drawing Shapes Using GDI" on the website. Hope that helps!
Later,
Caleb

hi guys,
is there any tutorials relate to how to pass variables from normal c++ program to inline assemble?
and how to change it from character form or integer form to binary form?
thank u very much in advance! =)

mov al,x
its wrong,
al is 8 bit, int is 16 bit,
you should do
mov ax,x
out dx,al

but after i hv changed the code to wat u suggest, it still got such a error message. relate to "out dx,al". it's still a "operand size error"

en, never mind. Thank U very much for ur help =)
really appriciate ur help

now i hv found the reason for the error, the machine is 32 bit, so the int is actually 32 bit long, to get 16 bits, we need to declare it as "short int"

hi everyone,
I have problem here:
I am writing a program to capture a certain area of screen frame(by GDI functions) and by which to create an AVI file.
The program works fine while compressed by "Microsoft Video 1" format but I can not use "Indeo video 5.10" for the compression format.
When I set the "AVICOMPRESSOPTIONS.fccHandler = mmioFOURCC ('I', 'V', '5', '0' );" and run the program, it returns an error from "AVIStreamSetFormat ()".
It seems that the encoder does not compatible with the source data ?
I downloaded the "Indeo" codec at "http://christophermolloy.com/photo/iv5setup.exe ".
I don't know it was because the "Indeo" codec I downloaded was not correct or beause it has special source data format requirement that it doesn't work.
Can anyone give me a clue about this or give me a pointer to some related information ?
My software environment: OS: Windows 2000 professional + SP4 Compiler: VC++ 6.0 + SP5
Thanks in advance !!

Hello,
under Visual C++ there are numerous examples of hooking into
another application, i.e. adding one's own menus to Notepad etc.
Is there a similar thing available for Java?
A net search has not resulted in anything useful.
What I would like to do:
1) Programmatically access the menu functions of a swing GUI in another 3rd party Java App for which I just have compiled classes, no source.
I know that awt.robot can do a bit, but I am looking for more:
2) Automatically extracting text from a Java Text Field of the 3rd party app (to repeat: I have no source code for this, therefore have to "hook" into the app from outside).
I have seen examples for C++ on codeproject, but nothing for Java.
3) A final challenge: adding my own menus to this 3rd party swing app. Again, possible in C++. I think impossible in Java.
Thanks so much for your help!
You are my last hope, literally.
Kind regards,
Tony

I belive the menus work differently in JAVA, plus i dont know wheather its "easly" possible to hook it coz the JVM has control over it.
How do you want to hook it any way, from JAVA or from VC++
