I need to modify a library that is used by a C-Scripting application to allow a MFC application to stop and start the processing.
The DLL builds OK, but both the application which loads the dll and the script that checks the flag always see the flag a false (0).
However I get the abortFlag is always 0 (false); see code snips below:-
First the Modifed section of th DLL project:-
#define DLLDIR __declspec(dllexport) // export DLL information
// The extern "C" declaration allows mixed languages compactability, it prevents
// the C++ compiler from using decorated (modified) names for the functions
extern "C" { <-------- Error here !!!!!!!!!!!
void DLLDIR APPSetAbortFlag(int);
int DLLDIR APPGetAbortFlag(void);
};
static int abortFlag; /* The flag to abort the test */
static int contiuneFlag; /* The flag to schedule the test to continue */
static int enterFlag; /* The flag to schedule data entry the test */
int APPGetAbortFlag()
{
return abortFlag;
}
void APPSetAbortFlag(int a)
{
if(a == 1)
abortFlag = 1;
else
abortFlag = 0;
}
Next the section of code for the application that uses the DLL:-
typedef void (*APPSETABORTFLAG)(int); // Pointer to APPSetAbortFlag(int)
typedef int (*APPGETABORTFLAG)(void); // Pointer to function int APPGetAbortFlag()
hMod = LoadLibrary("WHLLib.dll");
pGetAbortFlag = (APPGETABORTFLAG) GetProcAddress(hMod, "APPGetAbortFlag");
pSetAbortFlag = (APPSETABORTFLAG) GetProcAddress(hMod, "APPSetAbortFlag");
I set the flag like:-
UINT value = 1;
(pSetAbortFlag)(value);
and read the flag like:-
int result = (pGetAbortFlag) ();
Are they a problem with the use of the item of data in the DLL?

I am trying to have an MFC application that shares data with a DLL.
The DLL is loaded via a batch file in a C-Scripting environment.
I have included the following lines of code in both the EXE and DLL
#pragma data_seg(".CSL_DATA")
int volatile abortFlag = 0; /* The flag to abort the test */
int volatile contiuneFlag = 1; /* The flag to schedule the test to continue */
int volatile enterFlag = 0; /* The flag to schedule data entry the test */
#pragma data_seg()
#pragma comment(linker, "/SECTION:.CSL_DATA,RWS")
On the C-Scripting side of things the batch file loads the DLL as follows:-
#loadlibrary 'WHLLIB'
However any changes in the data (abortFlag say) is not reflected in the other side.
Basically all I want is the 3 variables to be visible by the libray and the application.
Am I doing it wrong?!?

hi,
please help me in any way you can which will be highly appreciated.
i'm a computer engineering student and i'm doing a 3 months project on computer controlled musical water fountain. we have to create an audio player and capture the instantaneous frequency of the song playing from its buffer, calculate the dominating frequency for brief interval of time and send it to the electrical team who will receive the signal and activate the corresponding motors for the different pattern of the water fountain.
I used Java's JMF(java media framework) API but it could only give the samples per second. but what i actually need is the sample values.i also studied the DirectX.DirectSound 's getFrequency() method but it could only give the samples per second.
Eagerly hoping for positive response.

Hello, I am a student working on a camera surveillance project and I am trying to write an
application that will be able to use any camera regardless of its vendor.
I have an axis PTZ 2130 camera to work with, and I have the ActiveX control for this camera that displays the MJPEGs being pushed from the camera.
If I want to periodically grab one of those JPEG being pushed from the
camera what would be the best way to do it. I know I want to use DirectShow.
But I'm not quite sure how to go about doing it.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Download and install the DirectX SDK.
Take a look at the PlayCap sample application which installed to C:/DXSDK/Sample/C++/DirectShow/Capture/Playcap for a default installation. It describes how to get a capture graph up and going. Modify the graph to include a ?sample?grabber filter (the name depends on the version of the SDK). Modify the application to grab and parse jpegs.
There is a fair bit of work involved in doing this, but enough people on Codeproject know how to use DirectShow so you should get plenty of help

Well, I've been working for a few weeks with directshow, and working whith the capture graph isn't really a problem anymore.
its the parsing of these Jpegs that troubles me. I Have no idea how to make a stream out of these and using them with in Directshow.
I use Wininet to download one jpeg and save it to a file at a time, and I can show this with using RenderFile(c:\\"example.jpg") or something. I just don't know how to stream these jpegs. (the camera has a webserver where a jpeg image is refreshed constantly).
thanks for the reply btw

I'm speculating - your application doesn't seem to be as similar to what I was using DirectShow for as I first thought. Have you looked at the PushSource Filter? It pushes bitmaps from files, but I'm sure it could be modified to either push jpegs or to convert jpegs in bitmaps and then push them into a graph.

Hi,
I am using a CView to display a GDI+ image. My problem is when I change the image displayed i want to erase the background first. Invalidate(true) appears to have no effect, does anyone know why this is the case? Any clues at all would be appreciated!
Cheers

How create a .lib from a .cpp & its .h ?
And that's in order to use some functions which are defined in.
|
|
|
|
|
if you are using Visual Studio, just try something bellow:
1. Select File -> New -> Projects -> Win32 Static Library
2. Specify Project Name and Location
3. Add all your files into project with command: Project -> Add to project -> Files
4. Make any setting that you need and build
In order to re-use library function:
1. Include headers which declare functions into file where you plan to use that functions
2. In project setting, at Link tab -> Object/ Library modules, type the path points to your lib file
3. Build
There is an easier way to re-use library function from lib file if you add that library project to your current project and set the dependency between them correctly (Project -> Dependencies)
Have fun.

Hi everybdoy!
I developed a program under Mfc and VisualC++, SP5. After installing the program and all the components (i. e. controls) under Win98 (not SE), I get a black screen. When I click around and hit a control, it appears back, the rest stays black.
Under Win2000 it works fine without any problems.
Now I need your help:
Where could the problem be located?
How can I resolve this problem?
Thank you very much for your help

what do you mean by black screen? does the program or the os not react anymore?
Don't try it, just do it!
|

|

No, there is just no picture! If you finish the program, it appears back and you can work on without any problems. And if you click left on a control, you see just this control, the rest is black.
