an all text cp version is my suggestion.

I would like a feature that allows me to determine the timestamp used for "New" posts as the current system seems a little haphazard. Perhaps a selection of algorithms could be in use, because no matter what anyone is going to suggest, someone else is going to disagree.
e.g.
* All posts in the last hour [or user definable timeframe]
* All posts since I last said so. For instance, I'd like to be able to set the timestamp when I am about to go offline, so then when I come back to CP all the new stuff is marked.
* Different timestamps are used for each forum and then updated when the user visits another forum.

Can we have an option to not show email addresses in the reply notification message body. I don't see why it needs to be there. Certain users abuse it by sending unsolicited questions which I'd rather see dealt with via the forums.

I'm not too bothered about my email address being there in the main. However, I do admit to having received a few unsolicited requests for help (sometimes on topics that I have no idea about - so I don't even know why thought I'd know about them).
Maybe an extra check-box on the user_reply.asp page to indicate whether the email address is transmitted if the other user is receiving email notifications. That would satisfy both people who didn't want it transmitted, and those who don't mind.

I have to say I am somewhat dismayed at the lack of selection for CodeProject items. I'd love to show off my affinity for CodeProject and have adorn many of my items, but the selection just isn't there. After looking around the Cafe Press[^] site I realize it isn't CodeProjet's fault at all, but more a lack of material on that site.
Is it possible to at least investigate others (for instance, Progressive Marketing[^] has a *TON* of stuff, and I'm sure there are others), or suggest to the Cafe Press people to add some more stuff?
Individual things I'd probably buy:
* A CP polo-shirt (makes for better workplace attire)
* A CP sport water bottle
* Perhaps one of those squish-toys with on it.
It could be that choosing another vessel of distributing CodeProject stuff is cost-prohibitive, or not attractive for other reasons, but hey, thought I'd ask. Merely a suggestion. My point being, if better CP stuff were available, I'd probably buy more.

It's on the CP home page, in the orange bar on the left, under the "Community" section. There is a link that says "CodeProject Stuff".

Chris,
bearing in mind the site load and finance issues where can I go to buy a CP t shirt ?
Black of course, not white and preferably fitted.

Along those lines - there is a CodeProject Stuff link on the main page, but to be honest, I find the selection of items pretty paltry. As you suggest, a few other color schemes for shirts would be nice. And I would definitely buy a water bottle (athletic-type, you know, like you'd carry around hiking or put on a bike). Possibilities for other items are endless!

I know there have been alot of issues lately and many growing pains. Do not know if this has been suggested before (only pages a few pages of posts), but how about a Status Page, this would simply give a server status or any known current problems along with maybe a status of how the next generation of CP is going. Could help lower the number of posts in the Lounge from people (like me) always wanting to know how things are going

I agree, it is almost unusable - this is the first time in several days I have been able to get on. Mostly pages won't load at all and if they do it takes ages and then that's it - I can't go any further. I used to refer to this site a lot but rarely use it now which is a shame as when it worked it was the best resource out there.
