I personally started with the msdn wcf tutorials just to get the ball rolling;
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms734712.aspx and
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/first-steps-with-wcf.aspx. They do not spell everything out for you, but none of the tutorials out there that I've seen really do. They all touch on what seem to be core concepts but in a very simplistic way with simple examples.
Since there are so many ways to configure and run wcf services you'll probably need to do continued research as you progress and run across different scenarios and issues. Thankfully there are alot of good posts out there about most issues you may encounter. And of course you can always post questions.
As far as attributes, the tutorials will show you the main ones you'll need to get started. Truthfully there are too many to touch upon in a single post and I'm always stumbling upon new ones myself. Good luck!
