Prerequsets for digital camera

Hi all.

I want to attach digital Camera to vb.net application to Take picture for the Person Set Infront of the Camera.

i already have the application works successful for the <u>WebCamp</u> of my machine . but when I attach the digital Camera to computer the application does not work. I thought the Camera does not support to take picture using Vb application.

So I request new Digital Camera from Cannon (S95) but the Technical Said to me it will not work with Vb.net application.

I want to know what is the Prerequsets for the Digital Camera to work in Vb.net. and what type of Camera support to work in .net.

At least it shows a number of nikon cameras that can be controlled remotely ...

You have to have one of two things in order for this to work.

1) You need a WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) driver for your camera, which is probably what you're using to take pictures with your webcam. Contact Canon to see if they have one (probably not!)

2) You need an SDK for your camera. I don't know if Canon still puts one out. They used to (because I have it), but it has to be able to support your camera model. The version I have doesn't support the camera you mentioned in your post.
