problem with sql server connection

I have build a database with sql server 2008 and define a new user
by right click on security and new user login
but in database explorer c#2010 environment when i creat a new connection and
define a user name and password for sql server authornication this error message
appear:
"Login faild for user"

and i had to use of windows authornication mode
how to define a user?
