Solution 2

Usually the projector can be controlled by PC via Serial Port and LAN connection.
If your projector is support PJLink, you can use sample C# program below:

Generally projectors are connected only through monitor cable and doesnt accept any command from computer, unless projector you own is connected through serial /parallel port or some other way.
However, if you turn of your computer using program, projector will turn off after some time if you set projector that way.
