Reading it as a binary file isn't an issue. Making sense of its contents is.

Your .GDT file might be associated with the Genbox Family History program, or it might be associated with the Guitar & Drum Trainer program, or it could be something totally different. Without information there isn't even a place to start.

You will need to research and gather what information you can about the .GDT files you are dealing with. If you are exceedingly fortunate you may turn up a file format specification. You may end up trying to reverse engineer the format. No one here will do that for you. It could turn out to be an insurmountable task, or it could end up being reasonably doable. None of us at this end of your question have sufficient information to tell.
