While publishing project I got following error, I just convert my project form Visual Studio2008 to Visual Studio2010

I rebuilt it several times but not working, This problem arises when publishing the project otherwise my project work fine.

The message "Could not find file 'Bin\Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.xml'." tells you what the problem is.

but there is no such file in old project, I added Microsoft.Office.Excel.dll in my new project.

The missing file is Bin\Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.xml, so that is the one you need to find.

Thanks Richard, I got solution. I just deleted this file from Bin folder and Its working.

Solution 1

you project nor able to find the above mentioned dll.
just close any excel file you are using in your project.
After closing all your excel file build the application and than publish that.
