problem in my vs 2008 asp.net server

hi guys .
I have a problem happened before some days .
i made some websites in my vs and when running they were very well until the problem happened.
when i want to run the page i got a message says :
webdev.webserver.exe has stopped working
then there is another message says :
unable to connect to the ASP.NET development server .

I don't know which reason make this problem .

can you give me a solution please ??

Solution 1

Check the Event log - see if there are any pertinent messages there. Restart VS and try again. There are other things you can try but that'll get you started.

Firstly, don't respond by starting another question.

If there are messages in the event log you need to be able to read and understand and interpret them. In your case this might mean searching Google to see if someone else has had a similar problem and leveraging off of that. Which leads me to Dylan Morley's post: even if you have not created solution there should be some config files that you can open and see if they have similar entries (don't know since I've only ever used solutions but should be similar I would have thought).
