who cares if it's dirty ? It doesn't stop the mouse from working.
When I pay R900 for a bloody mouse (all the mice I had before cost max R60) I expect it to be perfection personified. I expect it to move for me with just a glance
I was just a bit puzzled, especially now as you say the Logitek does not do the same thing. Thanks for confirming.

I've got the MS Intellimouse with Intellieye, and it has the same problem. I just give the mouse a good push along a clean sheet of paper and all the gunk comes off.

I have the reverse problem, the pads are leaving "gunk" on my desk surface!

I have the Borg Mouse too... actually, I have two - one at work, one at home.
The one at work gums up my desk - I have to get a warm cloth to wash the desk clean.
The one at home gums up the pads... and I think I'm soon going to just rip the suckers off - I can't see a good reason to leave them there if they are going to constantly get all gummed up! Does anyone recommend not removing them for any reason?

What about the four rubber pads underneath? Don't they get covered in grime very quickly?
Mine sure does.

Havn't you heard of of "Intravenous" fluid injection?
Its usually only for those on hunger strike.

Maybe I don't leave it as long as you, but yeah I clean mine when it starts causing me problems.
What I can't understand, is "why don't mice come with cleaning sticks or something ?"
I keep a pair of tweezers handy to clean it anyhow.

I'm partial to a good pencil eraser for cleaning the rollers. But i haven't found anything i really like for the ball yet; rubbing alcohol works ok, but i'm not sure what it'll do to the rubber
