@Maciej Los .Thanks for the reply. The root element is added in form1 constructor ..It seems that when i click the second button (during click event ).. the root element vanishes...basically I needed only the content in button_click1 event to be repeated everytime

@Cpallini this works, I just edited my code what if the method was protected I am unable to access I remember as per access spcifter protected you can access in derived class also.. so i created a object for derived class in main class and tried accessing it .. its not showing up in the intellisense

Okay i have master page and where I have Help file icon the moment the user clicks on the help file icon it jumps to the above function and a message is popped for the user which gives him 3 options "open" or "save" or "cancel" at present save works the user can save the file and open the chm file which works perfeclty, when user clicks on the "open" option file does not open and cancel works perfectly. I just wanted to re-phrase from my understanding from your comment why there is an error in my program. My program gives error in 3rd elseif statement i.e _firstnumber=10,_second number=20 & _thirdnumber=30.. it gives me exception error but where has if i give the _thirdnumber=5 and then compile and run the program it works fine...So you explained the compiler is trying to look for the second or third argument respectively and it finds number of arguments not equal to number of place holders hence it errors out..

Yes I have Hyperlink(i.e update and cancel) and image button for (delete icon image) in my gridveiw.. So if click on this hyperlinks and buttons , the alert is triggred

Hi, I found the problem I am using jquery file in some other page as well hence when my webproject loads i get the above error. However if i comment in the other page it loads without any problem. But again I cannot be commenting on the other page. I need to work on the other page as wel. Any suggestions
