or better would be that you put a filter like
var files = Directory.GetFiles(*name*).Where(name => !name.EndsWith("*.extension*"));

okay i know i m a beginner.....and i dont know if this is a solution....but i came up with this.....
class DictionaryMethodExample
{
static void Main()
{//store the functions in dictionary
var dicMenthod = new Dictionary(int, delegate)();
dicMenthod[1] = new Func(int, int, int)(Func1);
//use like this
var usefunc1 = dicMenthod[1].DynamicInvoke(1, 2);
Console.WriteLine("ans is:"+usefunc1);
Console.ReadLine();
}
public static int Func1(int arg1, int arg2)
{
return arg1 + arg2;
}
} those (int,int,int) will be within angular brackets.

so i l go with what u suggested.....quite interesting idea you have put....have a dictionary like dict(int,delegate) and define your funtions and keep invoking..cant write angular brackets...

by seeing your code.....i am thinking that you want those functions stored in a dictionary and invoke them through key values.... is it ???

what i meant , is that u make cmb1 global.....which means u declare the those combo boxes at class level or global or whatever.....

do you have config sections or straight away appsettings.....as i had the same scenario once where in i had to fill config section key and values into data grid view row cell and data grid view combo box....and upadte value in config section through the datagridview combo box....so describe your issue a bit and i might know exactly about it...

declare your combo boxes globally.....otherwise you are doin it correct
like
class A
{
here you declare and create the events in some method or in the constructor and release the events when no object references them
}
