I will be saving all the tabs individually, i.e. if tabPage1 is opened currently then by clicking on SAVE only the current tab will be saved....
Next if TabPage3 is selected, then pressing SAVE button will save the contents of TabPage3 only

My situation is such that i need to create multiple tabpages at runtime. Each tabPage must have 3 controls (text box, button and datagridview).The datagridview is populated again at runtime from the location entered in the textbox.
So what do you suggest for this now?

the XML file is created from the datagridview itself.
When i Click on a button called "SAVE as XML", the empty contents of the view are not taken into account. As a result of which during loading the entire datagridview is not generated.
So now how do i account for saving the datagridview along with the empty fields?

the difficulty is i need to create the datagridview at runtime depending on the contents of the XML file . The problem again here is the XML file contains some fields missing , and so these columns are not created

The tasks that the thread will be performing is the same , ie, every thread connects to a client machine and does the job of transferring few files from server to client. It wont be performing any other tasks but after the copying is done, the installation of that file will start on the machine...

Initially during form setup, the datagridview,visible is set to false.
Depending on whether files are fetched or not, the datagridview.Visible is set to true and the values arepopulated in the datagridview. Buth the problem is that the datagridview needs to be updated from another class and not from the form class. How is it possible to achieve the same

Sometimes i am getting the error as "Child list for field Table cannot be created" and sometimes the previous values of the file and datagridview are both getting deleted and at times its working fine...

But i have question here...If the folder is not shared on the LAN cant i use the credentials to log into the system and fetch the folder ?

The process is initiated by a server program and to maintain uniformity across my LAN i cannot ask the client to change anything in the setup. As the server will need access to the location where the software is installed.

Actually the design isn't wrong but this is the actual ask of my project...

Actually its an opposite process that i am following.. I want my clients to be listening on a port and the server connects to them....Its unlike the general norm where the server is listening on a port and client connects to the server

The problem i am facing is that - there are different xml files with the same fields but the number of rowws in it varies. So to create a form depending on the no. of rows in xml file is a difficulty.

I guess its happening because one object of listener class is creating the connection while another object of the same class is trying to disconnect what it has not initiated.

You mean to say that we cannot have a document opened in a new tab. But is there a possibility of doing the same in a different window altogether?

Just like in MS Word , when we click on "OPEN" or "NEW", a document is loaded using a different thread and all the processing on that doc is carried out using that thread.
Similarly, i have a form and my application requires that whenever i click on "NEW" or "LOAD" button on the MENU bar, the "main form" should be loaded on a separate thread and all the processing that has to be carried out is to be done on that thread.
But this doesn't imply that the previous form be closed.Both the forms will run simultaneously.

I dont understand the difference between the two.
But, i want is that when i click to create a new tabPage on a tabControl,the new tabPage must have the same controls as it was on the previous tab.

Yes,the MainForm does have a TabControl and when i click on LOAD i want to open a new TabPage with Controls within that same TabControl. No new forms will be created.

The point is i only want those values in the array which starts with "Microsoft" and not those that ends with or contains "Microsoft" in between.
I was first trying to write it to a file and then read from the file all those values that start with "Microsft". Is it a good idea?

I am now able to get the list of Softwares and their paths and to store it in a file. But now i need to find some specific softwares as mentioned in the Question relating to "Microsoft" and send those softwares x with their paths to the Server.

You are absolutely correct.This piece of code just checks for a particular Application and returns a value. I was just able to accomplish this much. And the further help is what i need. Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!

installed here means the applications or softwares that you install , for example Mozilla,chrome,VlC,etc
all these are the applications that you install
