Hello Seniors.
I know you've come out to help me.
And I quite appreciate that.
But expect you to identify the DataTable and a field from the study of "query".
Unless their is something else you want to let me know.
Just make it plain please, I'm here to learn.
Nice attempt.
Thanks.

So sory to have left you to dance in the dark for long Bill.
Something happened and I could not follow up with solutions to my propblem.
The fact is, I'm working on individual students.
Trying to compute performances within semesters or accadamic sessions.
Being it accadamic, Physical, Social, Religous, etc.
While each feild or property could have two or more items to deal with in the manner examplified above.
Hope you understand, thank you.

I understand; still remain.
Let me put it this way:
My query is working well without "where...." even if I use only " .... where YEAR = 'year'"; or ".... where [YEAR] = 'year'"; in string format.
If dont specify a row, the whole field gets update automatically.

I've checked but all is intact.Appreciating you all for the time and effort, I noticed something after discarding the query, I build it bit by bit while I test all my moves.
Problem only set in whenever I include "where ....." but I need to specify where to edit else all cells in a column ends up updated.
Assist me to move on please.
Thanks.

Thanks alot Afaal Ahmad.
What I realy mean is that - just like string, double or object type declaration, is there any type declaration that can keep data saved parmanently like Access, Excel, txt file database?
Guide me on how to do it please!

Sorry;
OS = Operating System.
What I am referring to, is that collection of words (e.g. in English(US), English (UK), Arabic, e.t.c) in the Operating System that gives window applications the ability to recognize error in spelling, sentences and punctuations, and also suggest list of words for users to make choice.
Hope I was able to communicate.
Thank you.

I tried to use:

Thanks very much Johannesnestler, I removed all the codes on my Program class and edited yours on it then, placed the btnOpen_Click as you'd advised.
My only problem now is MainForm.child2 = new this.MdiParent as MainForm;
Its displaying error.
Just a little more correction please.
U're appreciated.
