yes. Then I would prefer to write into the file when string size reaches some user-defined size.

Can we query existing Windows keyboard device driver to get the information of a pressed key?

I don't know the steps & sequence in detail, how all this works. But, if it is not possible "at boot time", then I think I have to do it once the driver is loaded. But is there any other way to this than using device drivers?

I am just told to obtain information of a pressed key & forward it. Depending on the data I forward, there might be some work to be done. I just need to obtain which key was pressed at boot time. If user presses 'A' then I should be able to get that value.

So, is device driver the only solution for the problem?

I am totally new to such kind of programming. I am just told to obtain information of a pressed key & forward it. I just need to obtain which key was pressed at boot time. If user presses 'A' then I should be able to get that value.

Hello,
I am doing all this on WinXP Arabic, & it is supporting other applications like Notepad, a right-to-left layout.

The source code is simple and there is nothing more than file opening, reading & printing data in rich edit control.
OpenFile();
ReadFile();
//Create formatted_string.
m_RichCtrl.SetWindowText(formatted_string);
m_RichCtrl.SendMessage(WM_HSCROLL, SB_RIGHT);
m_RichCtrl.SendMessage(WM_HSCROLL, SB_PAGELEFT);

I also tried with Arabic, but in some cases it gave problem as mentioned above. Have you inserted data such that last line will be more than rich edit width & will cause scroll bar to be shown?

FillRichEdit() //this function is used to fill rich edit with // a file data
{
//Read data from a file
//Set it to rich edit through SetWindowText()
m_RichCtrl.SendMessage(WM_HSCROLL, SB_RIGHT);
m_RichCtrl.SendMessage(WM_HSCROLL, SB_PAGELEFT);
}

Hello Olivier,
Thanks for your suggestion. But this code works partially for some situations. In some cases it moves the scroll bar by page, such that the right side content is not shown(which should be shown in right to left reading case).
