You could use a simple document library with a modified view for the treeview, and the filters on each column could act like search fields

jQuery mkes things easier,
Just so you mentioned TinyMCE, when you use that plugin on a textarea, You cannot find the control using document.getElementById() or $find(). You'll have to use the TynyMCE again to like: tinymce.get(txt.attr('id'));
What do you say?

Do you want this done from the server? how are you creating the tree in the first place?
Just to check the checkboxes, you'll have to use document.getElementById('chk').value=true;

I have to save this form to the databse with values for each day (hence 31 textboxes)
I thought of using a repeater control but the add row didnt work there , so do you suggest I use a server HTML table instead?
