I have used iTextSharp library for this. first it writes both .DAT files to list view and compares both files. and it also generates the pdf file that contains text of both files and displays the difference between both the files if any and as well highlights the entire row if difference exist.
but I also want to highlight specific difference between lines like notepad++.
