Alright, it's okay. thanks again.
I feel really confuse, as I tried to use the exactly same code in a new web form, it can be inserted well without any conversion error. But back to the real web form, it comes out with the error.. I got really no idea for it, maybe I should check again.. hmm...

Thanks for your reply :) "cal_schedule_view" is the calender id with the selected date. I saved [classStart] as DATETIME in my database, that is why I need to get only the date of [classStart]... The query did run well without this... "WHERE CONVERT(VARCHAR,[classStart],101) = '" + cal_schedule_view.SelectedDate + "'"
May I know is ado.net the only the way to solve this?
