ps. Further reading led me to discover the ExtJS HtmlEditor plugins by VinylFox:

. I think that he has done an excellent job and would recommend (without testing) his solution over mine.

ps.When making an entry at the Ext forum site I used, what I am assuming to be, the new ExtJS HtmlEditor that seems to come stock with what I am talking about. Anyways, if you need the functionality for the 3.x version of the component, I hope that you may find it somewhat useful.

I concur the idea is nice. I find Edward Nutting's comment valid. Though, I'd not use a wrapper class but a static generic method with a lookup table of the type's toString override (assuming that you want to override more than one class).
