my mistake i wrote it like this .:$
i am not doing it like that in actual rather the value of date time picker is passed to the function in which the query is written so there is security there and parametrized query is not my solution ,i have already checked that cuz i have to make it culture independent .so can you give me alternate solution :$

yes i am :)
so can you tell me the exact syntax for that like there are some fields whose value is to be summed on the basis of another field i.e like if i have a field in which a name is repeated several times and there are another field whose value correspond to that name ,now what i have to do is that i have to sum up all the values of the other field according to the name so that name is displayed once and the corresponding field values are shown as a single sum .

no i have to apply filter through expressions and i don't know the syntax
more precisely i have to do that ;sum the field values based on another field in Microsoft reporting,so if you know that kindly help me on this
