Ok, So its better to use pgAdmin 4 to use with PostgreSQL 10 or above. But in my case pgAdmin is not working properly. Among the listed other client application , Can you suggest anyone which you used without any such configuration issues. Thanks again !

Thanks for the response ! pgAdmin was working fine some time back and I had fine experience with it When i opened today it did not launch, Is there any way to fix this ? I read few posts stating pgAdmin3 is better.
In that case is it possible to shift to pgadmin 3 keeping PostgreSQL(v 10) data without any impact.

Thanks for the response. I agree but is this not a shortcoming of using interface as the class using IReadOnly interface is entitled to operate on SelectData method only, However if the class is able to access Update data in any way (Here reflection) it may be a security concern. Can you please suggest some approach or workaround (If any) so that the class using IReadOnly interface cant access UpdateDb method even with reflection ?

Can I not use Dispose here ? dispose is used to free memory explicitly correct ? If GC is the ultimate process for freeing the memory then why do we have Dispose concept ?

If so, then how shall I dispose this object of class myClass from memory ?

The new value is registered with the control by the time of rendering .. this is fine .. but as view state is disabled for the drop down .. the new value shall not be available at post back, correct ? if Yes, then it should through an exception as it shall read 'NJ' as invalid input.

Yes, I accomplished the same by the workaround.. But I am nto able to understand the reason/concept for the selection of 'NJ'.

EnableEventValidation = 'false' will do .. but sucurity will be a cost with the same .. I took a work around and added the DOM value in hidden field and read it at teh back end.. But I want to understand that why at teh selection of 'NJ' it did not give exception after disabling the viewstate. thanks

Thanks Sergey this is pretty clear to me, But while going through some more documentation and some debugging I am not able to understand taht .. when I checked the type of my delegate 'selectedOperation' it is showing multicast delegate ! .. as per one of your post you have mentioned that a delegate points to a code point and to a class of object .. what is the difference between delegate and multicase delegate ?
Also .. why is below code working :
delegate void selectedOperation();
selectedOperation sel = myMethod ; sel()
above code went well for instance method .. even when I did nto supply instance class object.
Thanks !

Thanks Uma Shankar for reply .. It opened the child page but not as a pop up .. Rather the content of child page appeared on the parent page in the same parent window, without a feel of being in popup. Please suggest

In case of using master page, the aspx page will reside in the place holder of master page and hence how will I be able to handle the javascript functionality on the aspx page ?
By "mechanism in dotnet like include file" I meant that in ASP we import files by include, and we can have include on evry page where we want header and footers.
Thanks for the reply.

Is it considered a good practise to use master page or user controls on master page to have this done ? Is there no way other than this ?
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks Ankur it cleared a lot of things. So it seems like form.submit() is a better approach to redirect as it full fills gives the facilities of both .transfer and redirect. Does this case 1 effect the performance of the 2nd page as it carries all the data in request form to next page.
Thanks again man.. :)

Thanks for quick reply. I am clear about the server.transfer and response.redirect. But as case 1 in my question it persists the hidden fields (showing charactor of .transfer) and changes URL (showing redirect effect). I dont understand why so .. Please help.

It is just because big chunk of people use the application at the same time thats why I was wondering is keeping the objects in teh session could place load on server and it will carry forward till the object ends.
Is keeping objects in session appriciated or a good programming practise ? or is there any other approach where we can use teh object by smoe other way which will keep server load less..
Thank you very much for your kind response .. :).. This helped me.

Divya

Thanks for your response. I dont want to have the object in session or in application. My requirement is to access some values specific to each user across pages. I dont want to go for session var or using previous page methods as they are heavy and previos page will have all its vars/view states etc.
So I was looking for a technique by which I can just store the values in an object some where and keep retriving teh same object on other pages that too specific for each user.
Thanks again.
Cheers ~
