You can bind friend information on the listbox as a class so when you select one of them you may have its ID.

You can call Import.aspx page via an Ajax call. And you may get the response from the first page and use it.

As I can see after your update operation you dont refresh the data source of the grid. You may define the code which you are filling the grid as a method like 'FillGrid()' and then you may call that method after your update operation.

While you are binding your data to Listbox,you should define your type as a Class. So you may have ID and Text for Listbox at the same time. When you select your item you will have a class instance. Then you may execute your procedure by using ID value.

Hi,
Actually it is related to your Generic Class Definition. It changes according to your definition. You can check http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/d5x73970.aspx

Hi,
You can group and than call these controls from their names.For instance,
if in a row your textboxes textBox1,textBox2,textBox3
You can create a loop and get or set the value by using
string value = (this.Controls["textBox" + i] as TextBox).Text;
so you can create for loop

I am more experienced in WPF so I am not sure that it is possible but If I have a problem like that I would look for ValueConverters. You should create a class and inherit from IValueConverter and then define it on the Binding Expression so it will run background and convert data.

If that table is datatable it is not serializable you can use Dataset. But I agree with db7uk. It is not a good solution to store a table in viewstate. It reduces the performance Session is better.
