This is required by the Architect. I can't do anything with regards to that. :)
Anyways, I did it myself. Will post the solution after some cleanup. Thanks.

This command can return you the list of all the tables in a database:
SELECT * FROM sysobjects WHERE xtype='U'
use a while loop or a cursor to iterate through each table name and return the values from them.

Man, you have got google for anything you need and will provide results faster too. For a concept I should tell you that triggers are automatically fired whenever any DML statement is applied on tables. So, "insert command" being a DML statement will fire the triggers for that particular table in which insertion is being made. For more details on how to write triggers, you can search "write triggers in SQL server". That will surely give you required help. Please accept the answer if you found it useful.

See, I am working from last 2 years in .net technologies, which include 7-8 web projects and 3 Desktop Applications including one in WPF. Now, you may understand that I may be having this much concept that if a control is not on a design page, we can not use it on the code behind this way.
Now, the people who are down-voting me here, or providing 5 points to others, I request them, just to run this code in there VS for once. You need to just take a textbox named as txtDisplay at your design page, and call the method "SSLCertificate()" on the pageload. Rest of all will be clear to you that why I am pushing this thing. I dont want to make an issue, but want to know the reason for this, as I have got way more experienced people here. I want to know exactly where I am wrong.

this is not a form. I have mentioned it in my question that it is a Web Application. The debugger shows me this for my obj:
base {System.Web.UI.Page} = {WebSecurity.SSLCert} //Here WebSecurity is my application name and SSLCert is the class name on which I am working.
and this is correct. Its the delegate method, which is not letting me use asp controls on my page. And I dont know why is it happening.
@nuraGGupta@
23-Nov-10 7:42am

Oh, I am sorry, i didn't cleared it, SSLCert is my class name on which I am working, and since I am working in a delegate handler, I needed to make an object of the same class in which I am working, to use its controls. Hope now you got an idea of what I am doing.

sorry Manfred for replying late, actually that was time for me to pull out off the office and it takes me 3 hrs to drive back home.I dont know that how often files will be checked. I dont know the use of SHA1, and yes the customer may want to make sure that files are not tampered with, thats why he is asking for MD5 hash. In any case these two hashes are anyhow needed.
@nuraGGupta@
18-Nov-10 8:29am
View
This I know that if the file content is not changed, then MD5 hash will always be the same and this can be exact reason for fetching it. He will keep the current MD5 and later on, he can check the current MD5 with the latest MD5 of that file to check that whether any changes have been made in the file or not.

Other way, write the code to loop through all the rows in datagrid, fetch each row one by one and keep inserting. (Costliest and deadliest method).
@nuraGGupta@
17-Nov-10 7:12am
View
And also, I can see that you have used the namespace LINQ. It would be best if you can use LINQ to SQL. It has an inbuilt method InsertAllonSubmit() which can help you inserting all the rows at once.You need to have dbml class in your project to use that.
@nuraGGupta@
17-Nov-10 7:10am
View
If you still want to know the method to insert all the rows, just do one thing, before inserting the edited row, run the command I wrote above, fill the datagrid from new table, and then update the database(the new table) using your code. This is the costliest method to do so, if you dont want to use a stored procedure. Using an stored procedure may help you avoid making useless postbacks.
@nuraGGupta@
17-Nov-10 7:06am
View
So, that means you did it. I can see that this is writing only one row to another table.Where is the code to transfer all the rows from one table to another?
@nuraGGupta@
17-Nov-10 6:45am
View
I know you want to save more than one rows, but editing needs to be done in only one row at a time.First you need to store all the rows in a table.
You can write a stored procedure or excecute a code even from the front end like this :
INSERT INTO table2 (ID, NAME, DEPT, JOB) //for particular columns
SELECT ID, NAME, DEPT, JOB
FROM table1
OR
INSERT INTO table2 //for all columns
SELECT * FROM table1.
This way all the rows will be inserted into another table. After that, you can update a single row anyhow.
By the way, this time I dont see any roses offered..[:D]

Hey venkatesh, dont give up like this yaar, she had already offered 3 red roses whoever helps her. I am trying my level hard to have those roses, anyways (jokes apart), I have a very hard feeling that the problem lies in the insert query somewhere, and if she can give it try with stored procedure, then I will really be glad....Aarti you stop making those crying faces in blue color.....[:D]

Then the problem must be like string instead of int or vice versa, passing to sql server from your code, this problem must be related to '' sort of thing. Why dont you write a store procedure and then execute the stored procedure from your code. Dont forget to write: cmd.CommandType=CommandType.StoredProcedure. Infact, this method must be always followed to avoid such type of situation as I can see, the problem lies somewhere in the insert query only....

Again saying,I have all these button events in a user control, not on any specific page, so I don't have a idea of which form to open, and which to close on click of buttons. Now, I think to remove that user control and place all those links separately on each page. This is a last known solution known to me.....

Henry, I am trying this code from last 2 hours using all permutations and combination, but I know this is not going to work unless I get to apply some condition to stay open the current window. I am only missing to apply that particular condition. If I close all the windows first and then try to open the form dialogue, as the code above, then the code is not executing (understood scenario), and throwing an exception, on the other hand, open a dialogue first and then closing all the windows will also be of no use...... I think, this is sufficient for you to know that, I have tried this code. The problem is that, when a person is stuck in a problem, he has no interest at all to explain the things word by word. As me, at present has got around 25 browser windows open (googling) to find out a solution for the problem....

Posting my question again in different manner:
I need a (Recursive) function that can save a folder with all its sub folders ( , sub sub folders sub sub sub, etc all the way to the end) to a database. I need to know the folder name as well as position as I need this to re-create the folder structure from the database. I need to use an recursive function to drill down from level 1 to the botom.

Hello Hiren,
Try to understand the problem before replying. I am not asking for a tree view creation. This treeview is generated on the click of every subfolder. I need to iterate through each and every sub folder in the very first go. Pull out each folder, subfolder and files name in the same hierarchy. I have implemented and tried that points provided in your link way before. Anyways, thanks for your concern.

I have checked it is being rendered as input of type image. Please see the rendered code below :
Anyways, I have tried the other way around as using the img tag of html and then redirecting it to the page using href. Rest of all item command work explicitly done by using querystring parameters. I had no other idea of doing it.
Thanks anyways for the help.

Ok Anupama,
I am really sorry for the links not working. The problem may have raised later on, as I checked them working fine at the time of posting the response.I hope you have got your problem solved on Saturday, otherwise, please provide me with the details of menu type you want. I mean, you want to have Child-Parent relation ship in your menu, or just a simple dropdown menu, with all the values fetching dynamically from the DB. I will surely post a fully tested application. (just with an urge to help you. ;-) ;-) ... ).

Reason for my vote of 3
This is a very clumsy and difficult example for a very simple problem. This is just a copy paste of some existing code, not deliberately written or managed for this problem.
