Thanks, I run it on Windows, but the FTP server is Linux based,
I used the directory list, so the user chooses a directory instead of typing it in, thanks for your help.

I figured out that FTP is case sensitive, if i add it to a folder(which is uppercase) but i enter lower case, then it gives an error that i don't have access. Can anybody please help to see if the folder exists and adjust to the correct case?

Thanks for the reply, I did try the fill, but this causes my program not to respond for about 3seconds, and then the Listbox that is populated by the dataset flickers.

Can't, they will know which file it is then, need something(exe or setup file) that does that for me,
but it must be generated by a program that i've written already by taking the company name etc...

Thanks, tried that aswell, and thought about it,
but that means i either need to create a *.Reg file from my program which is easy,
but the client just needs to right click it and go to edit to see where the location is.
Thats why i thought of a file.
Which other way can i do it automatically in a console app?
Sorry if i don't understand your answer entirely

Thanks for the SPEEDY reply
The problem with that is,
it generates a code automatically on their side, thats how i generate the "Authorisation code",
and i would like to save them the time from inputting that code on
every single machine, it is easier to run a file.
so i basically generate the file from my side which i can send to them,
but i don't want to send the file, then they know where the reg file is
situated.
But if you've got a better way which can work, great...
