I noticed the same issues; I think in my case it was due to having CR2008 on my dev machine, and just the runtime on my test server, so maybe installing CR2008 resolves it? Not sure, kind of confusing. I was able to change fonts, so I just went with that:)

I'm curious why this was downvoted; anyone care to share? I literally went through this at work about a week ago.

Yep, I get that all the time. VS2012 seems to do a lot better job at that, though it has its own oddities like losing references in IntelliSense to classes/methods in other namespaces. So, for a while, I'd work on one solution with both VS2010 and 2012 simultaneously. So much fun.

Thanks; I know the developer that made that determination (I used to work for that company), and he has a ton more experience than I, so before I flew off the handle at that, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some 'Aha!' gotcha in there that made this a viable option. Best guess: he and/or other devs weren't comfortable properly handling null values in code, so they just removed nulls. Of course, there's even more effort to translate the magic value, but whatever.

Thanks; I actually have access to their database schema, so I can confirm there are no indexing, foreign key or other constraints related to this particular column I'm currently looking at, and this requirement is in place for every single one of their number columns.
