Hi Anuja, my application is not a web application. I did try this, but i'm getting this error: The type or namespace name 'MapPath' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Server' (are you missing an assembly reference?) Thanks a lot!

Hi Mehdi,
Yes i'm actually looking to query the attributes. Im looking to perform an attribute level search. In the code you mentioned, im not sure where they are storing the attributes. Also, without indexing, the seach can get rather slow right?

Hi,To answer your question:
1) The structure i was looking for the xml file would be something like this:
Collapse | Copy Code<people><person name="John" age="30">
<person name="anna" age="22">..
</person></person></people>
2) Thats a good suggestion. The data should be written after all the set of data are captured. (But this wont make me loose the other values right?)
Thanks a lot, that link really helped! But im still not sure on how to add it from the listbox and the value from the textbox :(

Hi,
Sorry for not being precise. Yes i meant Microsoft Index server. I do see the catalog i have created in the key you mentioned, but i'm a begineer and i dont really know how to go about this. Is there anyway in the Registry i can check if the indexing is performed right? I'm sorry i haven't really understood what to do.
