Hi OriginalGriff,
Thank you for your advice. By integrating I mean, I have a backend service I have written to do the API calls myself. No third party software has been used for integration as you suggested, it might log transactions that are not secure.
I followed the tutorials for doing SetExpressCheckout and SetRecurringPaymentsProfile calls. My code also does other things like listen to IPN and process in the background.
Thanks again for the advice.

Hi RyanDev,
Yes, I believe it was an issue with the account. Below are the things I did
1. Created a new sandbox test account (of type Personal-buyer account)
2. Tested the flow with this new account - ran into same problem
3. Tried with Chrome (I was using Internet Explorer before) and it worked.
I don't know why, but even after deleting cookies and data from IE, it kept filling in the "User Name" field when redirected to PayPal for payment.
But now it is fixed. It was a problem maybe with IE persisting data. But I still don't understand it completely as Sandbox was accepting credentials - skipping the Review amount to pay - and going directly to Sandbox account's home page.
Thanks for your tip.

P.S. Tried to attach source code for the above question, but I cant seem to find the link to attach files. I see that articles can include source code, but can anyone tell me how do I attach source code (if allowed) to this question?
Thanks.

Yes, tried many versions of @Html.Raw but was not able to get it to work properly. The only way other than ActionLink (which works for internal application controllers) to compose such anchor tags were just directly using
.. with place holders to support model fields.

Hi.. as I had mentioned before, we were using MapQuest api's for doing routing calls with their Proximity and Corridor search methods, which let you vary the radius around a route to search POI's for. With the above question, we tried to implement our own method for finding POI's but, getting way points in between Point A and Point B, proved to be difficult. Currently, we will be proceeding with MapQuest api's which already have been unit tested in our project. Maybe in the future, we can adapt our own scheme for doing routing calls and finding POI information from our custom database. Thanks again for all your advice and help.

Thanks for the suggestion. Currently my table - the one with locations, is not indexed, so will work on that, and then have a go at your idea. Thanks again.

Hey, i'm sorry about this, but currently I have uninstalled monoForAndroid as I've recently upgraded to VS 2012. Still haven't downloaded MONO yet, and will take some time.
But as far as I remember, you don't have a button to push in order to get location.
During developmet, if you are using the right emulator, it can sent the locations to your phone.
_locationManager.RequestLocationUpdates(bestProvider, 5000, 20, this);
The above line of code, catches that location code automatically, and geocodes it.
Now, let's say you have a Mono for android license, and you are using your android phone to do the debugging. Then, turn the GPS in you phone ON. Make sure you have requested "ACCESS MOCK LOCATION" permission.
With the above things checked, all you need to do is, move the phone in your had like you are waving (or something) and the location is updated.
So to answer your question, there is no button.
During Dev, DDMS (the tool used to send fake locations to your phone) sends the location to your phone. Your phone thinks that It is moving and will geocode the fake location sent by DDMS. During live debug on your phone, you actually move your phone a feet or two for the GPS to kick in, this will get your actual location, where you are sitting and geocode that.
By the way: _locationManager.RequestLocationUpdates(bestProvider, 5000, 20, this);
in the above line of code, make sure you use 1,1 or 0,0 instead of 5000,20.
Someone in a post suggested this for development, debug because 0,0 says catch the location immediately, don't wait for the phone to move 20 feet. I think the 5000 and 20 above suggest how far the phone should move, before location updates are triggered gain. So you making this 0,0 or 1,1 would say.. don't wait at all, catch update without the phone moving, and wait for the phone to move 1 feet, 1 feet respectively.
Hope this helps, and sorry I couldn't furnish the code (project doesn't open without an installation of mono for android).

Not yet, since, this is a code sharing issue and not anything perticular to Xamarin. I thought i'd give it a shot here. Maybe someone else has run into this issue before. The thing is, i'm using the technique from Greg Shackle's book and everything works. This is just tricky as there's a WCF reference. Will wait out for other answers. And i'm sure all the examples in Xamarin, depend on local code and not many use WCF. If they do, it's AJAX/REST etc.. not pure normal WCF.

I can use data annotations, but i use Fluent API so as to have all relationship maps at one place.
For example:
// Product:
// define product properties such as <Product>().has key etc etc
// define relations such as <Product>().HasMany(SomeList).WithRequired()..
This way, i can have everything in one place, i.e. the modelBuilder object.
I will look into the DbContext --> public static instance. Thanks.

Thank you for the link. I tried it, but the problem still persists. As in, when i close the solution for the MVC app, the server closes.
Then i tried Adding both MVC and MonoApp projects under one solution, and running it, the application crashes (this might be due to incorrect URL in code)
Will try other options and see what happens. At this point, i'm also thinking of making a subdomain in my personal doamin (A new applicaion/site) where i can always deploy my MonoApp's and test with the simulator, and eventually from my android phone, since this would be a real world scenario.
But the Port (permanent number for the web severs) was a good thing to know. Thanks again.

Thanks. I am reading up and doing Sample App stuff from Pro MVC3 right now. And i really like the testability of it. I do have some concerns about how easy it will be for grids and other things (i know mvc3 doesn't have grids, but you can use JQuery plugins). I will probably soon get to the routing config part where i can link my existing site to a new app. Thanks for the reply.

For all my code, i use mercurial currently. Love the simple command prompt options. I couple it up with BitBucket.org. For private repositories, i've pushed code applications which are more than 1.8GB with video files for websites. It's perfect and secure. I didn't go for subversion, since lots of experienced programmers i worked with on an Internship, said, Mercurial is way better. Thank you for all the above info.

We have TFS available for download with Microsoft Subscription. Provided that, is it still a good approach over time to get familiar with TFS even for myself making up the team? please suggest. I will use the script backup in the mean time.

the default.aspx.cs has other Using references, which are there when you create the page: example -- Sys.colllections.generic, Sys.Web, Sys.Web.UI.
What i meant to say was, The default.aspx.cs page, is not structured within a namespace ; as in .. using clases.. Namespace Something { public partial class..}. I'm sure it is of no consequence to the .dll file being added. I was trying to say, the .dll file (and its original class) has a namespace specified.
