I know, but I need the Shown event, the Load event is only casted once. Isn't there a way to add the Shown event manually?

Agree, how would you rewrite the question?

Thank you for this answer! What you are saying in the beginning, I am not showing anything of the code where I use multithreading, is because I am not starting a second thread anywhere in my code. I'll read the articles you pointed to and hopefully this solved the problem!

thank you, I will rewrite my code soon and take this in concideration :) Only 4 functions written, and it works and i have no clue anymore how... I should rewrite it before I can add more functionality :)

Wow, do I win a prize for writing such bad code? Iknow this is not the best approach but I wanted to try everything myself first before asking :)

Yea, I still need some exact code examples sometimes before I can use it. I'm trying very hard to get used to all terms used in C# :)(still a beginner!) thank you for your help!

Thanks, I'm gonna make a test project where I experiment with this! I've got about 1 hour left today, if this works today you are my hero! (and if it does tomorrow, you still are =D)

OK, and if I want to change the SelectedPrinterName I'd use the following line: Settings.Core.SelectedPrinterName = "Some printername"; and reading the settings would be like: decimal temp = Settings.Core.Denisty; And will this work from each form in my project (as long as in the same namespace)

Thank you for your answer, I get what you are doing, and I'm sure this will work. But I am not yet satisfied. As you are saying this can be tweaked better. Could you take a look at my next question: http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/469358/Passing-data-between-forms-why-so-complicated This might be interesting too :)

I guess this is the right answer, but this is ugly(not your answer, just the way of coding I'm trying to use here). I don't want to write 4 lines of code per form, create 4 variables to use one variable in 2 forms. What if I want to use the variable in 6 forms? Could you take a look at my new question : http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/469358/Passing-data-between-forms-why-so-complicated which goes a little further than this question. Thank you in advance!

What does the error say? There should be something like that that works (didn't check sorry)

Depends on your contract. You can always try to work in PHP, and if it is not what you want, switch (if that is possible at your place!) But as they are lacking projects, I'd take every job possible. You need a job to eat. Extra knowledge is always good for your career!

Please do not downvote questions without commenting why. I did my research, but could not find what I needed. If the question is not asked properly, edit my question or ask me to make it more clear. I am not asking for complete code, just for a hint in the right direction.

I saw it was a repost, but could not figure how to delete the post. Sorry for that.
Thanks for your answer this helped :). I always try to understand code and if I don't I'd rather ask than just accept it.

This does not solve the problem, but only removes the error. I must have the problem that results to the error solved. Thanks anyway!

What file type are you thinking about? Could you be a bit more specific?

they are already at 0 mm. What happens in my program is as follows: When the print function is called the image is placed on a page, and that page is sent to the printer. The size of this page is not set by the printer page size settings. It is set somewhere else and I can not figure where.

Yes, I tried that, and this messes up the scale, flips the image etc. When I print the image using Windows Photo Viewer there is no problem the image is perfect, I want that result in my application

Isn't there already something like that? Where you ask the receiver of the email to send you a read receipt, it is build in in outlook :)

is there a form Load AND a form Loaded event? if so could you give me an example of the form Loaded? My printing function makes an image of the form and prints that. As the form is not completely loaded at the form Load event it returns a black page....

indeed, i want to pass data from form 1 to form 2. From 2 has no buttons, the only event it has is form_load. I tried both options in the link you posted but both wont work... for the second option it wont recognize the textBox1 in the line:
Form2 sForm = new Form2(textBox1.Text);
any tips on fixing this?
