I did an activity on the application at 05:51:18 PM and it was logged in the web server log file exactly at 05:51:18 PM hence I know it is a PM not an AM.

Hi Mahesh,
I guess that won't be a solution because in that case it would parse it to PM only even if the value is AM.
Any other solution if you have.

I am taking this value from a web server log file which I need to parse and it was logged at 05:51:18 PM exactly. Hence it is a PM value not AM.
Could you please tell me how to parse it to datetime in PM itself.

A simple C# code to access the log file, the same way we read any other text file.

Hi Azziet,
I used below code,
System.Diagnostics.Process process = new System.Diagnostics.Process();
System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo startInfo = new System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo();
startInfo.WindowStyle = System.Diagnostics.ProcessWindowStyle.Hidden;
startInfo.FileName = "cmd.exe";
startInfo.Arguments = "D:\JMeter\apache-jmeter-2.8\bin>jmeter -t D:\TestRun.jmx";
process.StartInfo = startInfo;
process.Start();
But its not working. Any idea about what is missing?
Regards,
Kane

Hi Abhinav,
The above code is not working, that command opens the jmeter gui but with above code nothing is happening.
I guess the command prompt is not able to change the directory from C: to D:
Any idea what is missing there?

Kane

I am using Itextsharp, I have written below code so far,
public string ReadPdfFile()
{
string strText = string.Empty;
try
{
PdfReader reader = new PdfReader(@"\\FilePath");
for (int page = 1; page <= reader.NumberOfPages; page++)
{
ITextExtractionStrategy its = new iTextSharp.text.pdf.parser.SimpleTextExtractionStrategy();
String s = PdfTextExtractor.GetTextFromPage(reader, page, its);
s = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(ASCIIEncoding.Convert(Encoding.Default, Encoding.UTF8, Encoding.Default.GetBytes(s)));
strText = strText + s;
}
reader.Close();
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
}
return strText;
}

Hi David,
Thanks for the reply. The above code looks fine, but I also need to get the font properties of the extracted pdf text like font size, font style, font colour.
Could you please reply me how to do that using iTextSharp or using any other way in C#.
Thanks in advance,
Kane
