button event is firing without code in vs2008

dear frinds from yesterday my web application is firing event without code behind and please refer screen shot of front end and code behind

and i also want code that i have 2 dropdownlist DDL1 DDL2 and textbox1 and submit button

i wanted DDL1 DDL2 on selectedindexchanged it has to retrive data frm sql(i have sql code no need of sql related code) and when we type something in textbox n press submit button it has to serch in sql datasource and display(i have sql code no need of sql related code. i m also not able to get selectedindexchanged it is not firing any event i dono again why. i mean my vs2008 is auto ha ha..

Solution 1

Go to the properties of drop down lists and set the AutoPostBack=true. Default value is false.

might be my question is silly but i was not able to understand so posted in this forum m sorry and thanks for helping me to resolve my question
