Cookies :A cookie can keep information in the user's browser until deleted.
Eg: When you are logging into Gmail if asks you remeber me it is nothing but a cookie.It will save your ID as well as password in the browser. Programitically when you want to save password or something then you will use cookies
Session: It is valid to paticular period of time that is 20min..
Eg:When you are using gmail you can see the mails that were sended by u as well as recived by you.U can't able to someone's mails in your account.It means it will holds user id in a string for entire application.If you closes the browser the session will expire.Through real time experience you will come to know about sessions in detail

Misleading info.
Session: It is valid to paticular period of time that is 20min.. Something needs to be added.
