SQL Client Connectivity Issue

I've an application which runs on SQL Database with Client Server Module. When i try to access SQl instance in server machine through system Name(For Ex: systemname/SQLEXPRESS) it not Accessing but it is possible through IP(For Ex: serverip/SQLEXPRESS). I'm using WS 2012 Machine as server.

But IP is set to Dynamically, So it'll change by itself. So i've to Use the system name for Client Access.

Please let me know , why i'm not able to access through system name?

Solution 1

It will be most likely the problem with DNS registration. If the SQL server name is not registered in DNS no one can access that server using name. You just check with your system administrator regarding this issue.

Do you have anymore information about DNS Registration. ? Might Solve the problem!!
