ajax control not working (vs 2008)

hello all;

i using vs 2008 and i have installed ajax toolkit. all the controls are visible properly but when in design view, i try to drag the control on page it did not. but in sorce view the control is added when i drag it.
and other problem is that when i set property TargetControlID for any ajax control, this property automatically become disappear from the properties and ajax controls donot work. plz help

Solution 1

The design view is rubbish, if it's in the source view, then it is there. I think you should run some of the example code from the toolkit site and work out what you're doing wrong from there.

i am well aware of ajax. i have worked alot in vs2005. but real problem is this that the TargetControlID become disappear when i assign it a value.
