I want to add search bar in windows explorer type mfc sdi application.

What I have tried:

I've googled but I'm unable to find the solution.Please help me.

It is nothing else than a text input field or combo box and a search button placed on the toolbar.

Searching for "mfc toolbar search field" gives plenty of results. There is even one from the MSDN: Walkthrough: Putting Controls On Toolbars[^]

But he did not asked for an event handler which is just the button click handler (and optionally a change notification from the edit field when search should be also performed during typing).
