When we post a hyperlink, CP auto pastes a new window text. Similarly, it would be nice when we type a URL pattern and after a space (flagging end of URL string), the above auto format operation getting triggered.
Perhaps Microsoft Outlook etc would hyperlink http://www.microsoft.com/ when we type the / and press space.

[sarcasm]I think you should implement the whole site in flash, it would be very interactive [/sarcasm]

Even if would, but people with internet near death (56KB dielup) could take up to 5 or six minutes to see.

There are other ways to put content on the page only for the webcrawlers to see. like in the meta tag.

I think I dont have to defend anything on this. If microsoft has gone for a flashbased webpage so it cares little about search engines and slow internet speed.

How about ACCESSKEY attributes on the 3 buttons on the post message page? A value of Q would "press" the button when you hit Alt-Q on the keyboard.
E.g.:
Quote selected text: Alt-Q
Post message: Alt-P
Preview message: Alt-V

Hi,
I do not see the link to Bookmark the articles, like before.
I got lot of articles added to 'My Booksmarks' already, for easy reference at a later time. But the link is now missing. Is there anything wrong?

A minor suggestion to consider from a big fan of CodeProject:
When I click on the Preview button, the window is almost invariably too small, and not where I would like it. I typically drag it aside and make it larger.
Is there a reasonable way for the forum software to "remember" this and have the Preview window be placed where it was before? Is this something that is outside of your website's control, even if you wanted to make this change?
(But perhaps this should serve as a hint for me to write smaller messages that fit in the provided space????? )

I would say this is a browser limitation. When the popup is created it's size is specified, but normally the browser decides where to position it, and as you move the window around the page is not really aware of what you do with the window, unless there was a button and a bunch of script to specifically capture that and save it with your profile or something.

Here is a minor suggestion that might improve your wonderful website:
I would expect the "code" option at the bottom of this page to not only highlight and use monospace, but also to leave spaces intact for indentation and lining up code ... which would be equivalent to what the "pre" button does.
Perhaps this is not something you can control or change even if you wanted to. I am not that familiar with HTML ... my impression is that < pre > is a valid HTML tag, but I don't believe that < code > is ... so it isn't like the forum software has a standard to conform to.
By the way, I like how this forum software works compared to some others that I am experienced with .... you can select a range of lines, click on the < code > button, and the selected code is "wrapped" within < code >selected lines< / code >. That isn't the case with some forum software.
This is line 1 without the code tag.
This line has iiiiiiiiii's
This line has wwwwwwwwww's
This line has a bunch of spaces
This line is supposed to be indented three spaces
This line is supposed to be indented six spaces
This is line 1 with the code tag<br />
This line has iiiiiiiiii's<br />
This line has wwwwwwwwww's<br />
This line has a bunch of spaces<br />
This line is supposed to be indented three spaces<br />

I may not be "the brightest bulb in the box", but I regularly have to use trial and error to get code snippets to show up correctly in messages I post.

I disagree. The <code> tag is meant for inline code segments like this , while the <pre> tag is meant for preformatted text blocks like
this . Their intended uses are totally different, it is just that so many users use <code> when they should be using <pre>.

CODE tag spec[^]
<pre> means preformatted, that is, it overrides the HTML parsing rule that changes multiple consecutive whitespace chars into one space. <code> is by definition an inline tag (whereas <pre> is a block tag) so it doesn't make sense to override the space parsing rules for <code>
