Oh that. Yeah - that's by design :P
OK, OK - I'll fix it!

Just wondering if it could be possible to bookmark threads... like you can with articals... just make it handy to find that thread that you were reading about 2 the morning before...
It'll probably take a bit of work but just a suggestion [this being the suggestions page and all!!!]

I came to this forum today to suggest a similar feature. My idea was that you can 'mark' threads which you'd like to follow. There would then be a option in the forum to 'View Marked Only', which will just list the threads which are marked.

Yep. Perfect... would be a brilliant idea. I wonder how hard this would be to implement??? Chris???

It's not hard, it's just time.
Soon. Or maybe "eventually"

I have a folder in Favorites for threads I want to watch. It seems to work, though it's a bit cumbersome at times. This would be a nice option, but until 'eventually' arrives, the folder will work just fine.

It would be really cool if there was a feature on the main page similar to the "New Users" notification, but instead of notifying of new users it would notify CPian's BDays. Make sure you get it done by the 22nd of April though!!!

HAve a look at how many birthdays there are on any given day - we just don't have the room!

Yeah, I can understand that. I used to run a BBS and I had programmed a plug-in (door at that time) which displayed the list of BDays. It was a very well liked feature. Of course I only had 80 users...

If all else, you could just give James Pullicino a special shout out on April 22nd, I assume this is whom the feature is for

How about happy birthdays for users that are active. I.e. post a lot etc. This will cut down the list to display quite a bit.
But you have to have it in by May 16th
Also, is it possible to look at peoples birthdays for a specific date? Or only the current date +- 2 days?

Is anybody really interested whose birthday it is?
Those people who want to shout about their birthday tend to do so in the lounge or rant and rave.
The front page is already crowded without adding more stuff (unless it was optional then I don't see a problem apart from increased server load)

Please cam you add :eak: to the list of codes for the emoticon? I don't know about Austrailia, but in Britian we use eak.

Do we? News to me, never seen it spelt like that in 30 years.

That's how we always used to spell it at school, though it was almost exclusively spelt with a big E, e.g...
Eak!
... rather than ...
Eek!
Which to me looks more like a shortened form of Heck in that form.

Do you know if there's a problem submitting an article by the submission wizard and by mail simultaneously?

Apart from confusing me, no. If you mail me a submission then post it using the wizard then just let me know so I can take it off the queue.

Chris, what about a forum where I can submit code/design diagrams/specs for a CP peer review?
That'll be really awesome, also don't know of any other site that does this.

I think that';s what the Collabration/testing forum is for
Nish
One little CD gone,
Then two CDs gone,
Then 5 more gone,
For a total 7 gones,
If I was a CD R,
I'd wanna cry,
Cause I'd be just a goner,
For a nasty CD burner.

Just an idea for convenience in the forums,
Would it be possible when someone included a link like
http://www.vmtu.com to have it automatically converted to
[link in new window]
As I'm always having to type in the anchor tag stuff by hand.

Good suggestion! I keep forgetting how to force that, so I've been using the View/Source option to look at the raw html. Now I've just discovered that I can't do that! The Source option is greyed out on the View menu
I didn't change anything - did Chris?
