Everyday there are a lot a new threads posted. Now most the time the questions get answered fairly fast, but sometimes your question gets lost, never to be answered. It would be nice if there was a hit counter that says how many people have viewed your question. If it's high, no one knew an answer, if its low, no one read it so you should post it again. About every other message board I've been to had this feature so it can't be to hard to put in.

Not necessarily. All it means is that no one bothered to answer.
Views per question really won't tell you much, and will simply increase load on the server. If there was a counter there saying 514 people viewed your question and there was no answer, does that mean no one knows or no one bothers? If the view count is 10 then will reposting means you may get another 10 views - or another 514 views. Either way if a question isn't answered then the only options are to rephrase the question and text, or dig around yourself some more (and then, of course, post an article about it )

How much discussion is there on MC++ (I haven't been watching). If it's a lot then it's a goer.

Hi all!
I need a recommendation for a good UML reference. I know enough to be dangerous, but the requirements of a new project demands that I learn more. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

i updated my older comment and it moved me to lounge-latest
why dont't stay on current thread? (resp. with new comments it sometimes moved me to page two if there were more comments for it - not tested today)

I noticed this earlier when I added a new reply to some posts in the lounge. It didn't take me all the way to the beginning, I think to page 2; but the thread I replied to was on page 3 or 4 (50 msg/page).
This post is the one that did it, I think... I just had just awoke when I posted so its hard to remember

I'm a little unsure of what is going wrong. Can you describe what you did, what you expected to happen, and what my disreputable scripts actually did? Please use small words. You have 10 mins. Your time starts...now.

Sometimes if you reply to a long thread, your comment can be added so far down that it actually comes out on the next page. Normally, your reply would be open on the page.
I think thtas what he is on about.

Actually it took me to a page that didn't even show the thread; which is why I remembered it

A test?!?!
Well, what I remember doing was just hitting reply to reply to a post in a thread. Once I submitted the post I expected to be taken to the page showing my post (or at least showing the start of the thread) but instead it took me 1-2 pages before the thread started (before in the case meaning earlier in the page count). The only other aspect that I can remember is the post I replied to wasn't on the same page as the start of the thread.

Just wondering if it could be possible to bookmark threads... like you can with articals... just make it handy to find that thread that you were reading about 2 the morning before...
It'll probably take a bit of work but just a suggestion [this being the suggestions page and all!!!]

I came to this forum today to suggest a similar feature. My idea was that you can 'mark' threads which you'd like to follow. There would then be a option in the forum to 'View Marked Only', which will just list the threads which are marked.
