I have brought this up many times that submission wizard should be only accessible to someone who has posted at least 1 article in CP. In the last few hrs I reported probably 3 articles which were dumb, plagiarized and with totally unrelated stuff like a poem - it was dark and stormy night.
Restricting submission wizard, will go a long way preventing all these people from misusing the site.
[Edit]
It happened again, I wokr up in the morning and found 5 more reportable junk articles which I reported.

Maybe just a warning splash screen if your article is reported and the issue has not been resoved

I disagree.
Firstly, having members be able to use the submission wizard means they can get their article up immediately without waiting for us. Usually we are quick but over the last few weeks as we've transitioned editors it's been a longer than normal wait so the submission wizard is vital.
Secondly, I would rather have someone post something bad and then moderate it than have someone not post something good because they feel that email submission process is too cumbersome. I go through the reported article list everyday and nuke the ones that diligent members like yourself report.

Wait... How would we know he smelled bad? We need a smellometer indication attached to each post! How about it, Chris?

Voting should always be confidential. That would ensure free and fair polling without giving avenues to any sort of vendetta.

The RSS feeds are down (just in case you didn't know). Also if you click the "lounge" button on the script error page it throws up a new one.

I got that, too. It was trying to send me to "lounge.aspx" instead of "lounge.asp". So when do you think the .NET version of the UI will be rolled out?
-- modified at 21:59 Wednesday 7th March, 2007
Actually, it still happens. The JavaScript drop down menu gets shifted to the left, and the underlying link points to lounge.aspx.

To confirm delete message, I don't think page should refresh. A Javascript confirm should suffice.

And if javascript is disabled? (Also shog9 has something that does 1 better, deletes without going anywhere

You can go to about:config, filter by cphog, find the Signatures entry, and manually copy them out.
Making that easier is on the list for v2.0...
As for IE7... it's possible. But not very likely. A while back, John Fisher wrote up an IE6 version, so if he (or anyone else) feels like updating it to take advantage of IE7 then they're welcome to it. Personally, i really don't have the motivation to do much for IE that i don't actually have to.
