Has anyone else noticed that the "Do not post programming questions in the lounge" thing is neither bold nor red? Something is horribly wrong.

A big thick one, so you can whack yourself on the head with it.

When a message is voted, a reason can also be given. Perhaps optionally.

You already have the option to leave a message when you vote on a message. It is called replying to the message.

Many times in the VB.Net forum it can get confusing which version of .Net or VS someone is using, therefor making it harder to answer the user's question. Can a rule about this be added to the "How to get an answer" post? And maybe even the other visual programming forums? It would help clear things up a lot.

Absolutely! The number of times someone asks a question in the SQL forum only to come back and tell me it doesn't work because they are actually using Access or Oracle or some such thing is astounding.

I've attempted multiple reloads and it keeps getting cut off in the same place so I assume someone's got malformed html in a post again.

CleaKO The sad part about this instance is that none of the users ever said anything [about the problem].
Pete O`Hanlon Doesn't that just tell you everything you need to know about users?

the problem seems to live in this post:
>>> How ToExecute DTS using C#.Net Code behind ?[modified]
it's the last post that's displayed, and even the bottom of the page isn't displayed (like ads and stuff).
But when I changed the postview from 50 to 25, it the defect post was moved to the next page, and the first page displayed fine. But now when I go to the next page, it's this one that's also bugging.
Must be some illegal char that's killing your ASP or something... :p please let us/me know what the problem/solution was, I'm curious.
Visual Studio can't evaluate this, can you?

The CP voting system is down again, this time with a "Internal Server Error" message. I've tried several messages on different forums, and they all give errors.
[EDIT] The error usually occurs on messages that have been voted Spam by another user.

After doing some surfing, I went to CodeProject and I got a pop up asking me to login with my Username and Password (even though I was already logged in). So I refused and tried to continue browsing CP, but every page I tried gave me an "Authorization Required" error. So I refreshed the page (got the pop up again), and logged in. Now every time I navigate to a new page, CP wants me login. I have never had this happen before, what's going on?

I got this same logon prompt, me thinks something went haywire.
I'd love to help, but unfortunatley I have prior commitments monitoring the length of my grass. :Andrew Bleakley:

That's a Windows Authentication prompt which means one of our servers has lost contact with the mother ship. I'll find out what happened.

Could you add the ordered and unordered lists to the Formatting options for the New Message editor? They are especially useful for listing things in a point by point basis, and while you can do it by manually adding <ol><li></ol> or <ul><li></ul>, it is a bit of a pain.

How about a WYZIWYG editor instead?

I love CP but this issue has been bugging me for a while.
When I click on links to articles from the newsletter, the width is such that about 4 inches of text require scrolling to the right to read the articles. Very annoying, and width=100% would be SO much nicer. It seems like its the same extra amount as the width of the ad on the left sidebar, which is strange (so it feelds like width=130%).
Does anyone see that same issue? Sometimes finding the same article through the website doesnt do that, but almost always clicking to it from the newsletter (even stranger).
Normal setup - IE7, 1280x1024.
This bugs me alot, effects every artice read. Wish I could attach a screenshot.
Thanks in advance.
Brad

Some of the Unedited articles have lines of code that are too wide and need wrapping. If there's a specific article that's scrolling too wide then click the "Broken Article" link and we'll deal with it
