I'm going to throw the beta site at him this week to give him an entirely new set of bugs to find and suggestions to make while in turn giving the site (at least the suggestions form) some serious load testing

Will it have its own "Suggestions and Bug Reports" forum, or will everything
get mixed into the existing one?
maybe you could mark messages somehow when entered from the new site?

- make Visual display line numbers: Tools/Options/TextEditor/...

Are you going to throw it at a lot of people?

That sounds like a dare, John. The only person that really needs to look at it is Chuck Norris.

And god help Chris if there's anything wrong...

Perhaps similar to Microsoft Beta Testing website, we can call for a few invitations and release it step-by-step. Wouldn't that also insure that the testing process is rigourous and fool-proof?

In one of the messages, I saw the following text:
"-- If this is a post that has been helpful to you, please vote for it. Thank you! "
Shouldn't CodeProject consider discouraging those texts in the messageboards since Voting should come from within and should not be requested in return (as in a barter system)

I specifically want members to vote on messages. The more members vote, both good and bad, the more other members can sift through the mountain of data we have here to find the gems (and ignore the pebbles)

We love it too.
But actually if a signature of a specific message solicits... [Wouldn't that be a bad one?]

I don't know why, but I read that as "ignore the plebs"

I take Chris' point above, but I must say I don't like this explicit begging either - that's what it comes across as, to me.
I guess there's nothing to stop you voting such posts a 1 regardless, as a protest...

But I would suggest that these '1' Voting should be brought under a more closer and strong surveillance considering a lot of people blatantly and abruptly abusing the system.

I've always said, and I'll say it again: I think voting should NOT be anonymous. There should be a link where you can se who has voted, and what.

Today I deleted one of my message (thread start) as it was a repost, and I wasn't asked about any reason wouldn't be that suitable, if CP asks for a reason why am I deleting the message, and that reason can be seen on that deleted message.

You can already do this - edit the post and replace the body with your explanation.
