I have noticed that when I'm viewing one of the programming forums, the display of the forums at the top of the page appears to change the sort order every so often. It doesn't happen every time, or even in a descernible pattern, but I have noticed that forums occasionaly appear in different locations in this list. It tends to make it difficult to find the forum you're looking for when they keep moving around like that.

I suspect there is a function which randomizes forums display order

Still seeing it, but not as badly. It now appears that all of the forums stay in the same order except the following:
Soapbox
Lounge
Subtle Bugs
Coding Horrors
Suggestions and Bug Reports

I've seen it also. It seems to happen when you go from a forum with the list at the top to a forum that doesn't have the list at the top, like Coding Horrors, and then back to a forum with the list. I just went from Visual C++ (The Lounge was at the top of the 2nd column) to Coding Horrors via the list at the top, and then to General Discussions via the drop down list in the green bar. The Lounge was now at the top of the 1st column.

Hi All/Chris,
I think the following might produce some intersting results for the Code Project. This technique could be used for any topic which the Project feels more information is desired.
A simple example: Obfuscation. Ask the reader to submit an article with sample on the topic in a language of their choice. Have the staff (or readers) vote on the best two or three, and then publish them.
By using a language of their choice, you will get C++ and C# (and probably VB). I would bet someone will develop a tool to obfuscate. The result is another free tool for the community, and some more insight into techniques.
Another example would be a "smallest executable" on disk. This would have the readers attempting to strip out as much as possible from an executable (most likely post compile/link). Included would be tweaking pages and paragraphes used by the program. C++ would be intersting in itself. But I believe finding out what can be done to a C# executbale would be very informative. The body of knowledge for C# is not as mature as C++.

Thought I'd point this out. Didn't see it in any recent posts. Sorry if I missed it, but...
The search engine returns zero results for:
GetUninitializedObject
Returns 1 (correct) result for:
FormatterServices.GetUninitializedObject
Seems to me like the search needs to be juiced up a bit. Not sure if this was an existing issue, if even considered an issue or new with the site being re-vamped.

Could I have the assistance of an admin please? I need a partially submitted article removed, so that I can resubmit it using the Article Submission Wizard. I am unable to remove it myself. The article is called Legion.

The article should appear in your article list (see your profile page, click on the link next to your article count). You can edit/delete from there.

I resubmitted the article using a different BaseName. The old partially published article still exists in my list of articles, but is not visible when I am logged out (a good thing). I don't know how to remove it, but it's no biggy.

It does not seem to work. I tried to post an article and abandoned in between. I see it in my profile but I don't see any delete button or link to delete the article.
The basename is "pending". It shows up in my article list but no one can access it.

The forum list above, well, each forum appears to rearrange itself when going from, say, the VB.NET forum to the .NET Framework forum. This may be true in others forums as well.
