Would you like me to send 'Nessie - the Loch Ness Hamster' over to whip your guys into shape?
Could put off the necessity.

Your sig suggests an alternative ending - If you open a can of worms, don't serve it to Mustafa.

With Yahoo Groups you can also ask to have all new posts grouped in a daily mail. This could be a starter solution.
I don't read the newsletter because there are just too many articles (and also because I visit CP daily) but I would appreciate to have a daily summary.

I think the OP's idea was that he wanted notification of a new thread so he could run off and answer the question quickly thereby increasing the chances of becoming an MVP/maintaining MVP status.
My less cynical reasoning would be that it is to ensure that questions get answered quickly, thereby aiding those asking the questions.

Seriously beating Mika, Dave and some of the other people to the questions is really hard work .
Colin you really are a cynical bugger.

I didn't used to be this cynical. I only became this way after moving to Glasgow. While the folk here are very friendly (at least on the surface) I always get the impression there is an alterior motive.

Hah try being a tourist in (I started adding countries but the list got too long) you are considered a walking wallet, India was the worst but only by a smidgen.

You're in the right part of the world to be seen as a "walking wallet".
Even southern and eastern Africa wasn't as bad.

There's that 'i' icon again It looks like an iFrame that tried to load a page and errored out.
I did a little mobile icon for you guys to go with the monthly competition one, if you're interested in using it. You can find it here[^]. There's a large version and a 24 pixel drop-in replacement for the 'i' icon.

Currently each article has a Send to a friend button at the top, and a bunch of buttons at the bottom for Digg, Del.icio.us, etc. I suggest you just have one Share button at the top, with a drop-down menu. See http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/[^] for an example.

I've seen the small 'Share' links you mentioned (but not actually on that page) and was thinking exactly the same thing.
Something like Add This[^]?

I found this interesting one when checking Vikram's profile.
On his profile page, it says he has two articles whilst his article list says only one article.

Hi,
I have published 5 articles so far, and started preparing a sixth one a month ago (using the publication
wizard). Ever since my article count alternates between 5 and 6, it seems to me different servers use different algorithms to count them (and/or the CP team is changing the code all the time ).

Thanks for reporting.
I will investigate the issue, and will provide the explanation,
or open the bug tomorrow.
